Updated slightly.

Below desk is a Herman Miller Scooter that I use for my Wacom tablet. It's adjustable in height and angle, making drawing easier.

Pictured is my 17" (classic) MBP, Dell 24" ultrasharp monitor, Sennheiser 555 headphones, PS3 controller charger, Sony E-book reader, M-Audio Studiophile DX4's, Logitech surround speaker (from my gaming center on the opposite side of the room), Ikea Grono lamp, G-tech FW800 drive, and a Chumby.

I love the Rain Design stand, and was delighted to realize it works nicely with the 17" MBP's. :) (sorry for crappy photo's, I'm still learning)

How do you like your Gateway Monitor?
I was planning on getting the 24" or 22" to match my 19" Gateway monitor, and I haven't been seein to many good reviews about them.

Okay I dont want to get smash by the color people so sorry to those people.

It is a great monitor. I hook up everything to it. However watch out for the spec changes from FHD2400 to FHD2401 for the 24" and HD2200 to HD2201 for the 22". I believe they remove component input, svideo and usb hub.

However if your a color person, do not get this because it is a TN and not your speical IPS, etc etc monitor.

Sorry for the rant geekindisguise, but lots of people here are IPS monitor people.

Updated a bit from my previous setup in Part 7.
Just got the Dual 800 in my sig, it's running Leopard like nobody's business :D

Haha. They are pretty big.
I bought them in store, and I didn't realize, but smaller ones were also inside the big ones (I was wondering why they were so heavy), so I'm using one as a vase, haha.

I like the ones I have up there. Elegant looking to me.

Oh, and for your thread that you linked.
I would personally get both. The lamps for on top of the desk, and the strip for underdesk lighting. I have underdesk lighting with these LED pods from IKEA, and it looks pretty cool.

cool thanks a lot for the reply :)

just rewired the home studio...the mac pro runs everything.

moving "outside the box"...missed the sound of real keyboards.

at this time the g4 is just collecting dust...may turn it into a machine to run all the VI's that didn't make the UB transition such as trilogy/atmoshere.
