haha reminds me of the "Lauren" MS ad when she said "...And this is like a phone"
Seriously that thing isn't much bigger than an iPhone!
and I believe they come with a HD, but you can upgrade to SSD...

Alright, so I finally received my Dell 2709W this morning, and have been rearranging my desk and stuff to get everything to barely fit:

Sorry for the crappy iPhone pic, it's the only camera I have at the moment.

The menubar is huge on that monitor. I cannot see it on my PB from that far away. Why did you get the 27 inch when it is the same resolution as a 23 inch? or a 15 inch if it is a laptop?

EDIT: the monitor is so low resolution for it's size that I can read the text on the menubar!

How do you like that monitor? I am thinking of getting one, but I am not sure if it´s so good, because I have IPS-monitors right now.

I got it mainly as an "all-in-one", since I use my PS3 with it too, and 23-24 would have been too small, and I did not want to get a 30 because of the high resolution, I did not want it to mess up my console gaming by scaling it, not to mention having to also buy a Dual-Link DVI adapter. Also, when I bought it, it was 50 bucks CHEAPER than the Ultrasharp 2408WFP. I got the 2709W for $550 CAD. I was actually not that far from the monitor when I took the photo, maybe 5-6 feet. Text and stuff is bigger obviously, but I really like it. And I got the 13" Macbook solely because of the size, I carried around my cousin's MBP for a while, and it was too big/heavy for me to carry all day long.

Well, I did a lot of research, and for what I planned to do with it, it was perfect. Obviously there is going to be a downgrade in image quality if you are used to IPS panels, although I was reading around that people are getting very accurate prints using this monitor.

lol well I have semi-bad eyes, so reading is pretty strenuous on my eyes. The bigger text helps a bit.

Well I guess it helps that I have perfect vision up close. Far off is another story though. I wish resolution independence worked better then I would have a 1920*1200 screen. The best I can do is 1680*1050 (built in screen is 15 inch 1280*854) with a VNC hack. I VNC my PB (which is at the login screen) with my dad's 15 inch Core 2 Duo dell (that I use more than he does) to my user account with the resolution changed once I connect. The only 3 things the dell is missing that I want is Mac OS X, 1680x1050-1920x1200 screen and a Backlit Keyboard.

I moved stuff around my apartment, and got rid of the projector screen (I'm moving in a few months, and the screen won't be able to fit in that apartment so I sold it).

2008 2.66 GHz iMac.

(Yes, as odd as it might seem, that's an SNES right there next to the iMac.)

Nice setup. Where did you get the chest of drawers?

Well here it is, long overdue. I finally got around to taking a pic of my set-up.

Sorry for the crappy quality of the pics, they are from my iPhone.
