I'd say that this is THE 'Holy Grail' of setups. Mine when i move to new house is going to look like thisish, although more work friendly. I.E. a few more wires because of printer and TV's
I <3 God's mac.

"Why does it say 'Welcome to you're "doom"?' what does that even mean and why for god's sake is doom in quotes? Is it some kind of ironic doom? is the week implied?" -Killface, for those that aren't hip to the [as]

Anyway, here's my humble setup in the hallway, post dorm, pre Ikea. Seagate 250 GB used for Time Machine, my roomate's crappy Creative Labs speakers, the bass helps but they adjust their own volume randomly for no reason, a 2nd gen iPod touch, and my MBP with Fliqlo screen saver.

I have recently purchased the new Samsung P2370 23" monitor and I can honestly say, it is absolutely stunning!
I was thinking of buying the new Apple Cinema Display but after comparing both, the image quality was pretty much the same and it cost me $500 less than the Cinema Display plus it comes with a Matte Screen.

Here are some pictures of my new setup.

This screen is extremely thin and lightweight.

Beautiful glass-like design.

Mirroring display on the 17" MacBook Pro and the Samsung P2370

The difference between the Matte and Glossy displays (The samsung has a much better picture quality even though it might not look like in pictures).

All in all I am extremely happy with this monitor. It only cost me $279. It has a resolution of 1920 x 1080. 250 cd/m2 brightness. Contrast ratio of 50,000/ 1,000 and the response time of 2 ms. Viewing angle is 170 degrees and it weighs 9 pounds.

Nice setup... I can't help but notice that your MBP's bezel looks like its 2 inches thich at the top! how come it looks like that?

When mirroring the display into an external monitor ( I guess because the monitor is 16:10 instead of 16:9, I get these two black bars on the top and the bottom of the screen...

You can view all of the pictures here on Flickr.
Looks AMAZING. I love the clean feel of it... makes it so tempting to get an LED cinema display.

Ok cool, that makes sense... I thought it wasn't my eyes going funny!

What is that desktop wallpaper? Looks amazing!

Thanks JNC. :D That's our logo.

Thats a great setup Source, for a second or two I thought that there was a mirror behind the desk, it wasn't until I looked closer that I realized it...One of my favorite setups here!

Thanks JML! :D

We were extremely dubious about the reflectiveness of the cinema displays, but I think getting them is one of the best decisions we've made. I was amazed by just how much brighter the 17" Macbook Pro already was compared to my old non-LED-backlit 17" MBP, but the 24" screen is just on another level.

Nice setup guy above me!! Love that ACD.

I don't really consider mine a setup. My cousin is trying out my iMac so that's why I don't need all this crap at the minute.
It's just everything I have, really... my MacBook box will fit in there nicely within the next few weeks :p

& the painting - it's an original one of Sir John Lavery, pretty hefty mind you :p

Apple Bluetooth KB
Apple Bluetooth Mighty Mouse
About 4 USB cables for iPod shuffles, nanos, touches, classics
Two Apple t-shirt boxes for opening of Apple Store

Office 2008 for Mac (and a load of backup CDs)
Call of Duty 4 for Mac & PC
iPhone 3G replacement box
iPod nano (it's out of the box, I have it in my office)
Apple Universal Dock (with iPhone in it)
3 Apple Remotes
XBOX Wireless Headset
Verbatim 16GB Flash drive
and there's a few other stuff that i forgot to mention, can't see them in that pic.

sorry for the waste of space :(

here's mine at my apt....kinda messy, but not bad.

it's a 15" MBP 2.5ghz hooked up to a 24" Samsung T240. The monitor is AWESOME, huge, bright, and crisp.

cant figure out how to take a good pic of the setup without having the screen be the only thing u can see......
