After having browsed this thread for the past few weeks, I thought I would finally take part and give you my before and after pics. The before was this morning and the after was about 20 mins ago after I had finished rearranging my office.

I was about to say "I can only assume that you run Hackintosh"-- but your sig makes that pretty clear. How does that fair, what with stability and all?

It's actually pretty good. I've only had it up and running for a few days, but I'm getting a good geekbench score and I've successfully managed to do a video in Adobe Premiere which performed really well. Not really done much else with it yet but I have now started using it as my main computer.

I had my CPU overclocked to 3.2-3.6GHz but started having problems (mainly cuz of RAM) so have put it back to stock speeds and getting a Geekbench score of 5518 which beats the current 3.06GHz iMac and is about equal with a Intel Xeon 5160 3.0 GHz (4 cores) Mac Pro.

My only complaint is that the graphics card will only output to one of the two ports so I can't currently run two displays.

Aw, that stinks. Two monitors on a cheap Mac would be bomb! haha

You can use dual monitors, you just have to modify some strings. Check insanelymac forums for details.

How do you like that Antec Skeleton? Do you have any problems with dust on the hardware?

I have no problems with my Antec Skeleton. I like being different and having things that others do not really know about, so that is why I decided to build the system. When my friend saw my Antec Skeleton, he said "wth is that?" I told him it was a generator. And he actually felt for it, ahaha. In terms with maintenance and cleaning, I use one of those Air Cleaners to clean and to remove the dust on the Skeleton. In addition, I clean my workstation every other day just to stay clean and organized =D

i despise that desk. the metal legs were part of another desk but ti was too small. so i want to lowes and got a nice 24x72" piece of aspen and put it on top of it. works wonders and a damn near doubled my desk area. im in the process of designing/building a new set of legs for it.

the plan is to sell my current imac since it is no longer being used due to the purchase of my mbp and with that money buy a nice 22" monitor to wall mount to free up some desk space.

Finally cleaned up the desk, and most of the cables...

I have an idea for the cables next to the UPS. That comes next. I haven't come up with a good way to bind the LCD's DVI+Power cables so they look less cluttered.

Zip ties are the work of the devil. The worst cuts I've ever gotten were from people that cut the excess off at a bad angle.

But seriously, I did think about that, but unless I use 50 of them, the cables bunch and bulge.

that is why i have these...

thank you, been a looooooong time since i looked at the first post!

No problem, it is just funny because for a while there someone would ask about every other post what it was. By now a mod should just put a BIG sticky on every subforum about this screensaver.
