...I can really tell a difference between the two snappyness wise ... So, here is my 1.25 GHz Mac mini with only 256MB of RAM. Oh well, at least I'm still running Tiger...
It could take a while before the new revision is released. So please upgrade the RAM in the mini, or stop comparing it with an iBook ;)

512 is a minimum for tiger, really. I just went from 512 to 1G on my 1.42 mini. It feels like a new computer.
That or downgrade to Panther..

Yep, I just got done watching the upgrade video over at Crucial for the mini and think I will be ordering at least a 512 stick this week. Really that should get my by because I don't do to that much that is intensive, I just like a better response when opening programs, switching between windows, etc...

Well, as part of my "Get a New MacBook When They Come Out and are Revised" scheme. I have had to temporaily downgrade to a Mac mini from my 1.33 GHz iBook :( I'm not very happy about it, and I can really tell a difference between the two snappyness wise ... but, in the long run I guess I will be happy ... especially if I can buy a MacBook (assuming that is what they will call the intel ibooks). So, here is my 1.25 GHz Mac mini with only 256MB of RAM. Oh well, at least I'm still running Tiger...

Don't forget the 1.33GHz 12" iB G4's has support for CoreImage whereas the MacMini's do not;
ATI Radeon Mobility 9550 vs. ATI Radeon 9200 - both 32MB, iBook and Mac Mini respectively.

felt like wasting a bit of time and posting these, hope the quality isnt too bad, the girlfriend (see another thread) has borrowed my digi camera... sigh

here goes>

Seasought's Setup

I sort of missed the boat on this when I first got my Powerbook as my former digital camera was very very dead. So, I finally picked up a replacement camera and figured I'd post my current work area as I didn't get to on my initial purchase day. :D

yeah all you have to do is buy a white lamp (or a macbook plus powermac) :p
A white lamp would be nice. A MacBook Pro and a future Mac Pro would be nice, too. :D

Dreams can come true. :eek:

Ehh, the lamp matches the iMac's base still. Kinda hard to tell in those pictures though. I love simple&clean setups. :D

Ok, as a first timer here on these forums, here's what I got right now. I am in the process of buying another desk so it's pretty messy right now. Also, an Intel iMac is in the works in a few more months.
