If this was 2004, i would disagree, But now I do agree. I do not need that monster laptop. But I am a 6'0 220lbs monster of a man. (not bragging but I use to do a lot of lifting in my HS years and still do, so i bench/swat 425/500 lbs) So a 12lb laptop is not going to slow me down that much. What is funny is that i have a modified 17" PB bookbag that I use for that laptop! :)

I'm sorry but if I were a parent and my kid did that, I would run out and buy him/her the machine. It just screams GIMME PLEASEEEEE!

Cute.

:D:D

No, you misunderstood. I actually *am* waiting for an iMac Core Duo… I sold my iBook, and the iMac is on it's way. :p

Too bad you aren't my parent, I have the corner of my desk cleared off and ready for a MacBook Pro :D ..that I won't be able to afford for another few months, if not longer...

Lugging that laptop around is probably what gave you those 425lb benching abilities. That thing is freaking huge.:D

HAHAH, well in that case i should add some weight to it!

That really is a Dell XPS in the corner there? I've played with one and it definitely was not that thick. Is this a much older model or something? Wow!

Since everyone is interested in the XPS.. Here is a pic of the rear of it!

Sometimes I move my iMac into my room:
I know, I love how portable it is .. I take it to my girlfriend's dorm room all the time to watch movies .. it's so much better than a TV.

I saw one of those new XPS laptops at some convention the other day.

I thought it was extremely silly, overly flashy "look at me" styling.

Anywhere, here is my list of what I currently own, and what I used to own:

68k:

Mac SE
Mac Classic
Performa 200

LC
LC II
LC III
LC 520
LC 575
LC 580
LC 630

Mac IIcx
Mac IIsi

Quadra 630 (same as LC)
Quadra 650
Quadra 700
Quadra 800
Quadra 900
Quadra 950

Centris 610
Centris 650

PowerBook 180
PowerBook 180c
PowerBook 520
PowerBook 520c
PowerBook 540c
PowerBook Duo 210
PowerBook Duo 280c

PowerPC:

6100
6300
7100
8100
8600
5200
5300
5400
6400
6100
6300 something (I don't recall and I'm too lazy to look)
6500

PowerBook Duo 2300c
PowerBook 1400c

iMac 266 (Green)
iMac 333? (Purpleish)
iMac 350 (Indigo)
iMac 350 (Blueberry or something?)

Power Mac G4 AGP

Used to Own:

PowerMac G3 B&W
PowerBook 3400c
PowerBook G3 Wallstreet 14"
PowerBook G4 17" (stolen!!!) :(
PowerBook 190cs
PowerBook Duo 280
iBook 366

I might have forgotten a few. But that pretty much sums it up. A tally I took once totaled over 75 due to repeat machines. Also, these are all fully functional machines, not any dead or parts machines.

Some of the fun machines are my G4 AGP with a 1.8ghz G4, an 8100 with a G3, a 6100 with a G3, and a Quadra 900 with a 50mhz 68040 upgrade. Oh yeah and of course my 1400c with a 466mhz G3.

First time I ever used a Mac was in September of 2000. Shortly therafter is when I started building this collection.

Oh I almost forgot my Motorola Starmax clone...

I only have really huge pictures online and don't want to mess up the flow of this thread with those.

Yeah, jeez... we have two computers and my wife gives me those wide-eyed looks of "Are you serious?" when I mention building my next gaming setup (waiting to see how AMD's AM2 iterations stack up against the Conroes)... in addition to the Intel mini that's on its way. :)

I live at college, but my computers are still at home, which is a 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom house with a full basement shared between two people (my mom and I).

Needless to say, there is plenty of room.
