hey thanks

about the heat, i've only had it ffor about 48 hours now, but i've put it through its paces a lot. it doesn't seem to get much hotter than about 75º (the cpu) and it is definitely bearable on your lap, the places that get the hottest are the upper left corner when its plugged in, and the middle-right area to left area. anything by the trackpad stays nice and cool.

i love the keyboard on it, i think it is the best i've ever typed on but thats just a personal opinion. the trackpad is MASSIVE. although i'm comparing to that of a 12" powerbook. it is very wide and not very tall. i'll only ever use part of it.

the display seems to be a lower resolution then i expected....it seems a LITTLE bit squished, but that just may be me being picky. the glossy screen looks great, and if you ask me it is easier to view outside than my powerbook. but it is the HARDEST thing to clean ever, you leave smudges ande everthing everywhere ESPECIALLY the screen.

and finally, one little accent that i loved about the black macbook, is the bright green lights for the isight, caps lock and num lock, they really stand out and make it look amazing

Hey do you have a PB keyboard tacked up on your desk...

yes......i took apart my powerbook, becasue i spilt lemonade (i'm a dum*** i know) and it was COMPLETELY dead, so i took out the keyboard, and took out some of th estuff inside it to try and part it out, the hard drive still worked etc. so then i didn't really need the keyboard and thought it would look good....superglued to the top of my desk....

Just got it today! :D
Yeah, I know it's not as sexy as the new Macbook/MBPros, but the price was right and it's really just a secondary machine to my g5 + 20" ACD.

Either way I may never have to touch my work PC again...

I love the TiBooks... I don't know what it is... there just so good looking. And I have a MBP.

Sweet. I like 'em too. Is it true they're only 1" thin?

I agree the Tibooks are gorgeous. It really surprises me how Apple brought out this mac at a time of thick black and grey laptops

well I don't have a tap measure or ruler handy, but I'd say 1" is pretty acurrate of it's thickness when closed. All I know for sure is this 5 year old laptop is much nicer than the acers my work has been buying in the last 2 years.

As always, Wes, your setup looks stunning. I have to say (even after the MBP), you are the only one I know with a nice-looking setup and a low budget.

why do you need two new books?:) i mean, isn't that overkill for on the road?

Added 2 more external drives to my existing setup

Search my previous posts to see my full setup, just wanted to show off my growing Mini stack. Added 2 NexStar USB enclosures. Nice thing with these is they also have USB hubs built-in adding 3 additional ports. (I keep running out of ports  )

Is that external HDD better than the common LaCie one I see everywhere?

I haven't had any problems with them yet, going on 1&1/2 months. They are a little difficult to get the hard drive to fit into, and some people have reported not being able to get their HDD to fit at all, but I was able to get both mine in. The drives I put in them are different, but both fit. (IBM and Western Digital) I haven't seen the Lacie's in person so I can't really comment on them. I picked these up at Fry's. Noise wise, I never here them, but I usually have some background noise on(radio, fan, tv, etc...)

Yeah, it is. "Yan Yan" is the girl in my class that choose it for our cd.

You know, thats really weird. The album that song is on, in your picture that iGary referred to, is called St. Anne's 06 am i right? Really weird... i just graduated from High School and the school i go to is called St. Anne's Belfield. However, i noticed that you live in Seattle, instead of all the way over here on the E. Coast.

• Exam schedule (teacher copy, that I shouldn't have) ;).
• Yes, I keep a knife (or 3) in my room.
• Yes, the original 512 from the MacBook.
• Yup, I play.
• It's gone now, I had a glass of lemonade.
• Yeah, friend's gym lock that I gotta give back.

Yeah, my desk is always full. The edge was pure boredom and I edged it with my knife a couple times :p.
