If you take a Mac Pro with a Quadro/X1900 and 3 7300 GT's, you can have:

30" (4 mpx)

1st 7300GT:
30" (4 mpx)
23" (2.3 mpx)
2nd 7300GT:
30" (4 mpx)
23" (2.3 mpx)
3rd 7300GT:
30" (4 mpx)
23" (2.3 mpx)

A total of 26.9 megapixels!

Or if the macpro allows the Quadro 4500 X2 then have 2 of them and 1 7300

You Could have

1st 4500 X2
30" (4 mpx)

30" (4 mpx)

2nd 4500X2
30" (4 mpx)
30" (4 mpx)

WTF are you talking about? The MP has one double-wide PCI slot, the only one compatible with the X1900 and Quadro. The three other ordinary PCI slots support the 7300GT's. So, the macimum a MP currently can do is 26.9 megapixels.

Dude, you can't fit 2 Quadro's in, But if you put in a Quadro FX4500 X2, which has 8 Duallink DVI, you could have 50.9 megapixels!

SO.. after a huge delay....

i'm finally going to be bringing my Display home this week lol. ( just got my new job ) when i get everything set back up again and cleaned up, i will take some more pictures for you all.

i am however entertaining the idea of giving the dell to my father and buying another 23" ACD thanks to the price drop. ( different spec though.... )

You can only have a total of 1GB of VRAM inside of your machine, which means either 4 7300GTs, or 2 7300s and the Quadro.

The Quadro ONLY has 2 Dual Link DVI, and with the 2 7300GTs 2 Dual Link and 2 Single Link, you can have up to 4 30" Cinema HD displays and up to 2 23" Cinema Displays.

The Dell's are such lovely monitors, especially those new ones with the somewhat similar ACD stands. Though I think its stand is better than Apple's.
