You mean a 2.16 Ghz 15" MBP? (the vram doesn't make sence) and yes I'm a bit anal I know

No, before the speedbumd, they had 1.83 and 2.0 GHz models with respectively 128 and 256 MB VRAM. He just bought it before the speedbump;)

mac setup

Over the years I've had my share of good things, but usually I trade in to upgrade. However I've been running off my 12" for some time now. Great machine. Battery sucks though and is not part of the recall. Thinking about eventually progressing to a black macbook.

This is basically my audio / video and it really does rock for home cinema / downloads etc... Concert DVD's are incredible!!

12" PowerBook 1GHz PowerPC G4 1.25 GH DDR SDRAM
Infocus X2 DLP Projector with DVI to PB and 10ft screen
Logitech Z5500 Digital PC THX Multimedia Home Theatre Speaker System - with optical connection (laser mounted in lounge)
Samsung SM940MW 19in Wide LCD HDTV/Monitor (bedroom)
Harmon Kardon Soundsticks (bedroom)
2GB Black iPod Nano
1st Gen iPod (still works)
:D

I should have said that I am a recent Switcher... so not all of my stuff is silver or white :D

How is the monitor mounted or placed? It seems almost to float.

Monitor Arm .. I forget the manufacturer

Where are those speakers from? I made a pair of speaker absolutely identical to those when I was in high school, used Eminence parts and a cabinet I worked from cherry.

They're Totem Model Ones, made in Canada :)

That thing is atrocious.

Hehe not everyone's cup of tea... but the keyboard is kind of the same shape as the original Mac keyboard.

What's that on top of your Mac Pro? Some sort of sound thing?
Yeah, its a Zhaolu digital to analog converter.

Why do people close the iris on their iSights? What difference does it make?

Dust, maybe? If you didn't use it that often I suppose you may as well shut it.

I don't have a desk in my current flat, so here's my current setup. ;) Thought it was quite a nice photo though, if you don't mind feet. :p

I find sometimes it is weird having that little lens at you.

Also to keep enemies from other worlds from teleporting through the iSight using it as a Stargate. (Sorry if I don't have the correct terminology, I don't watch the show but my friends dad is obsessed with it)

You must have very dexterous toes to have taken that pic.

My Setup

novicew_setup.jpg

iMac G5 | 2.1 GHz |1.5 GB RAM | 250 GB | SuperDrive |
Mini Core Duo | 1.67 GHz | 1.25 GB RAM | 80 GB HDD | SuperDrive |

I've got a thing for minimalism when it comes to laptops too. A good bed to lay on and a pair of headphones is the best setup for my taste.
