Why didn't you get 2 Apple 30"ers or 2 Dell 30"ers? it would look better.

I got the Apple 30" monitor on a trade, im going to list it on ebay this week and then buy another dell 30" monitor . So then ill have all dells. I eventually want to mount the 2 20" above the 30"s

I tried that keyboard at a friends house and did not like it. It was awkward. I guess if I really tried I could get used to it though
Yeah it's awkward at first, when I first got it, I thought the... y key I think it was was broken. I kept hitting it with what I thought was a sufficient amount of force but I was hitting it at the wrong angle or something. As I got used to it, it got easier and I never had that problem again.

louish, that is insane. out of curiosity; do you have any sort of sound system for that setup?? it's seems weird to have 4 displays, yet no sound system that can even be seen.

Sound.. well I dont play games at all, so the ONLY sound i ever hear is DING, and DOING and CLICK. I have a Dell Sound bar attached to the bottom of the 30" Dell. All dells allow a sound bar to be attached. but if you notice, I have a audio cable hooked up to my nano. I dont like running itunes on my computer cause i need to resources for all my other crap, so I hook up my nano to my other speakers. There is a sub on the floor that the external hard drive sits on and there is 3 speakers behind the left monitor. but I cant turn up the volume too loud or i get complaints in this Apartment im in. I used to have it hooked up to my stereo (shown with the plasma) with surround sound when I had my own house, but I sold the house when I got divroced :(

Oh, sometimes I hear the sound "Congratulation, you just won a blah blah blah. Click this link to claim your prize". Of course its spam from a popup. OH.. I watch GoogleVideo and YouTube a lot.. I love the Mac Spoof Commericals! But other than that.. I really dont ever hear much sound come out the computer... mind you, the computer hooked up to the Plasma is the one I watch the movies on, and on that i have 6.1 surround.

i work in the dark, all you need to see is whats on the screen and the screen gives enough light for the keyboard and immediate desk.

plus with the lights off i cant see the mess.

Sold my imac and have replaced with a Mini PPC 1.42ghz, 1gb ram, 80gb HD and a BenQ FP93V Monitor.

My new 17" Core 2 Duo iMac, sitting next to the MacBook (although the MB is just on my desk for the sake of the picture).

The iMac is the entry level one with 512Mb and GMA but I don't play that many games and I will try and bump the RAM up next week. It's replacing an old 1.25Ghz Mac mini which I finally got fed up of when it was taking 3 minutes to load iTunes 7 with my music library! It's sitting, without a display, keyboard and mouse, connected to my router so I can get files off it.

I was going to get another Mini but then I thought for a bit more cash, I could get an iMac so here we are! It didn't come with the Apple Remote, but the one that is stuck to the iMac is from my MacBook - at last somewhere where I won't lose it!!!

Sorry for the bad picture, cameraphone.

Wow louish, I thought I was cool with my 2.8TB network storage but you've blown me away. There's nothing like a file server packed with hard drives though :D I almost have an addiction to hard drives...whenever there's a sale on Seagates at Outpost.com I find it extremely hard to resist.

EDIT: Also, this isn't mine (obviously), but I wanted to make sure you guys have all seen this setup. Twelve 30" Dell LCDs and five 30" Cinema Displays.

I see that you sold your Clamshell. I noticed that you had it on Ebay twice.

Well, thats just a moronic quote if ever there was one. :)

I guess your a pretty cool guy huh!

No, but from what I see a lot, I don't feel the need to spend the majority of my student loan on 4 pcs.

Why does anyone need 4 pcs? The amount of money in the world...it's sick, what a selfish world we live in, pfft.

Here are some more detailed pictures of my desk.

HOLY CRAP! What a freaking setup!

Very nice, very nice indeed. Out of curiosity how much do you think it all cost when added up?

I suggest you not waste your own energy on worrying about other people. Unless you plan on doing something about it, that is.

:)

Hard Drives are an addiction, especially when you start having a stack of unused 250GB drives because you removed them and replace them with 500 GB drives. I have 4 250GB drives gone to waste, no place to put it, (1 of them is getting a little noisy, do ill probably just toss it, wouldnt want to risk anything.
