This is my 2 - 20" Dell LCDs with a Core 2 Duo 2GHz Macbook and a 2GHz Core 2 Duo Mac Mini (Custom) both with 2GB Ram, an iPod dock for my 8GB Nano which is still attached to the car, my Logitech DiNovo Edge (built in touchpad), and this setup was taken with my White Blackberry Pearl!

P.S. forgot to empty my garbage, :D

Dell displays-nice
Macbook-nice
Custom mini- berry, berry nice!
Nano- nice
I love the DiNovo!

Blackberry power!

Nice setup on the whole, however, It may not look as good, but having the macbook on the left, and the display in the middle may work better imo.

Still need more pics

Afroman, thanks for the added pics but I was hoping for a different angle....possibly one that shows where your wires enter and exit the wall?
How do you go about navigating the wires through the wall without destroying everything?
I was also hoping for some larger images....the wall mounted flatscreen and speakers make it look so dang cool.
Is that a weight set I spy in one of the photos?...I should upload my workout setup photo

An XPS mouse pad ;)

Afro- Where are your pillows and where do you put the sesor bar for the Wii? Either way, awesome set-up.

My pillow is an a different room and I only put my sensor bar on top of my HDTV when I'm using my Wii because I'm still awaiting the wireless sensor bar since the wire isn't long enough to go through my wall.

MBM007, I'll send you close-ups of my setup a bit later.

^ Running Linux on your PPC Mini, I see. Very cool. How's the performance on that? I wasn't very happy with the performance of OS X on a G4, but which distro are you using and how well does it run?

Also, looks like an InMotion tablet PC or something is missing from that shot ;)

I'm using Ubuntu Dapper, which i believe is 6.06. It's as stable as hell and I highly recommend it. For me, it was a toss-up between Ubuntu (GNOME) or Kubuntu (KDE), and what made me spring for Ubuntu was this: http://code.google.com/p/avant-window-navigator/ which is only available for the GNOME window system. Plan on installing it when I have a bit of time on my hands ;)

Anyhoo, Ubuntu is definitely faster and snappier than OS X on the G4 Mac Mini. Though I must say, Panther running on the Mac Mini was definitely faster than when I upgraded to Tiger last April.

I'm happy to see others have put their apple stickers on TI-83's! I display mine with pride..:D :apple:

Haha I thought I was the only person putting Apple stickers on my TI! Apparently I'm not alone! :apple:

I've updated my setup quite a bit since the last time I posted it (many pages ago). I got this terrific mouse, the Logitech VX Revolution, I think it's the best mouse ever made, it feels terrific in my hand and has a bunch of cool features. I also got a new LCD, it's a Compaq 15" display, but I can't complain because I got it really cheap. Sorry about the quality on one of the pictures, the first one on my digital camera didn't come out good at all and it had run out of batteries so I had to take it on my cameraphone.

My setup:

Now I know what you're thinking - that looks exactly the same as what I posted a few pages back... but there are changes UNDER all that! For one, there are now lights which go all around the back of the desk and the sides!

Makes it a lot nicer to work at the computer at night, and uses little power! Also, an awesome 7-port USB hub which has completely consolidated my insane USB cable collection.

I would be afraid that the speakers would kill the monitor

Yay! Finally talked my mom into switching! I convinced her after showing her how problem free my Macbook was compared to the family's Dell. It's nothing specatcular (17" CD refurb, GMA 950), but it's perfectly fine for web browsing and photo viewing - all my sister and mom will do on it.

I think it compliments the Macbook in my room nicely:

same mini, new 22" monitor!:D I thought this was a neat angle from out back... the tanks are ample light when I'm at my desk.

g4 mini | 22" Gateway lcd hd monitor | LaCie 250Gb external drive | Klipsch THX 2.1 speakers :)

i love my mini!

I've been eager to post me revised setup, now complete with my recent purchase of a PowerMac G4 tower (Digital Audio 466Mhz) and 17" CRT Studio Display.

But alas, my mother is playing around on the new setup tonight, so pictures tomorrow! :)

Heres Mine...

Finally got round to taking a Photo. (See Signature for Specs!)

BTW, Can someone point me in the direction of a good Star Trek Wallpaper site. Thanks

What do you usually use your macbook screen for? I have a very similar setup and sometimes my macbook pro screen is too far off to the right to even use it.

I actually don't use it when it's hooked up to the 24". I'll just start it up in clamshell mode, but then open the top up so that the computer doesn't get to hot.

Those speakers are shield so it shouldn't be a problem. Also, I'm pretty sure that LCD's don't get affected by magnectic fields, on CRT's.

Yeah, I've never had any issues with them. My cell phone and them used to not get along, and they would buzz before I got a phone call when I was on Cingular. It was kind of nice, I could pick up before the phone would even ring. Now on Sprint it doesn't do it as often.

Several updates here!
1. Most notably, the Dell 700m has been sold off and replaced with a black MacBook! 2.0GHz Core Duo, currently 1GB of RAM (going to 2GB soon), 80GB hard drive, dual-layer DVD burner. VERY nice machine, got a great deal on it…and now I am completely Mac (except for the server of course, that’s Linux).

2. Added gigabit ethernet. MUCH faster than the old 10/100. Also, I moved all the networking stuff (router, switch, etc), my USB hub, and all my charge/sync cables to the keyboard tray that I don’t use; you can see it under where the MacBook is placed on the desk. That cleaned up a lot of cable clutter on the desk.

3. Sold the Logitech S530 set and got an Apple Bluetooth keyboard and Logitech VX Revolution mouse.

My past workstation shots can be seen at http://rogersmj.com/tech/workstations.

Coming soon…a new custom built desk!
