Much better than before. Beautiful monitor. Those Dell displays have been growing on me lately. *must stay pure, must stay pure, must stay pure*

Love the desk and love the matching cat!! I really want a solid black table desk but nice desks are just so darned expensive. :(

Nice setup, I love the 24" iMac, those things are huge!!

thanks man got a 20" acd next to it and a 15" mbp to the right of it, thinking of getting a 30" acd and a mac pro to take place of the iMac

Got the mac in place...everything isn't quite finished being setup...I'm usually too busy to write about updates but since I wanted to try out iWeb (figure I need to try everything that came with my Mac at least once)

http://www.chaoticremnants.com/studio/ is a little write up of what I added/changed this time.

if you just want to see the picture :)

*and if you don't click the link...does anyone know anywhere to get desktop monitor stands? Using shoe boxes really isn't very audiophile of me :) *Neither is the mess of cables but I'm not done moving my stuff out of here and getting everything settled in...I went from a PC/Laptop with all my gaming stuff in here as well to just productivity setup with my Macbook Pro for now. Also moved my favorite monitor out of here in the name of having a more ergonomic seating position :(

A few more pics

Waiting to upgrade when something revolutionary comes out

...how much longer should I wait? I'm looking for Robson/Flash technology in a Santa Rosa chipset.

Current setup (don't laugh):
PowerBook G3 (w/SCSI) 400MHz, 40GB HD, 320MB RAM, completely dead battery; OS 10.3.9 (yes, it runs - this came with 8.6 pre-installed) - this is the first Mac I bought in 1999 - still running and my primary computer. The reason I'm waiting to upgrade is that I got burned when I first bought this - 6 weeks later the machine with integrated FireWire came out, and I couldn't get a refund and couldn't sell it (eBay didn't really exist yet).

PowerMac G4 400 MHz (Sawtooth), OS 10.3.9, 10GB, 60GB, and 160GB internal hard drives (it's a real Frankenstein), 1024MB RAM (mismatched speeds), a third-party USB2.0 card that causes intermittent instability, ATA controller card to access full 160GB capacity of internal drive, external FW DVD-RAM+-R/RW....

Should I just wait until Leopard comes out pre-installed? I've waited this long, what's another six months?

I'd say buy a Santa Rosa Macbook Pro when they come out, don't worry about waiting for Leopard, you've waited long enough. Rumor has it that there will be Santa Rosa MBP's this Tuesday, so we'll see
