Yes, it's Ubuntu. Or was, until I restored my backup disk image via Firewire Disk Target. Linux has come a long way in the last 4 years, but it's still too much of a pain in the neck for no real payoff.![]()

Is that a Lombard? I had one of those a couple of years ago. Awesome laptop. Ran Panther great w/ only 333MHz, 320MB RAM.

i thout lombard could only get 144mb ram??? we're talking about the 3400 right?
Nah, the Lombard was the "Bronze Keyboard" model of the PowerBook G3. It's expandable to 512MB of RAM, according to Mactracker.
I've considered getting another one sometime. Not sure yet, though.
