Now I've finally got hold of a new desk (until yesterday evening my Mac was temporarily housed on the top of a chest of draws) I thought the time was right to contribute to the thread. My set up:

Rev A Dual 2Ghz Power Mac – 1.5GB RAM – 160GB HD – Superdrive – ATI Radeon 9600 Pro – Bluetooth

...hooked up to an 'old school' 23" Cinema Display, a Logitech MX 510 mouse, a set of white JBL Creature II Speakers and a 20GB 3G iPod.

:)

very nice. i love how you put your PM on your desk, looks freat.

The first is transferring files and settings from the 12" iBook g3 to the 15" powerbook g4.
(when I first got the powerbook, I thought it was freaking huge, and I'd never get used to it, but now the 12 inchers just feel sooo tiny! like I'll break it or something.)

the 2nd pic is right before I reformatted my iBook's hard drive. it was strangely sad. :( it was like I was killing an old friend!

but then I was happy again because I had a G4. :) :)

Thanks. It just makes it easier to reach, reduces dust, and negates the risk of it accidently getting kicked by my clumsy big feet.

It lets me show it off nicely, too. ;)
Showing it off is the best part. :D

Dilema

Okay guys, I just ordered a Dell 2005fpw and now I have a bit of a dilema

Heres a picture of my current setup.

www.staylazy.net/images/setup1.jpg
www.staylazy.net/images/setup2.jpg

What your seeing...
phone, sony screen connected to my server (i do some vb work on there to), mac mini which is connected to the dell monitor, then that corner is where I put all my junk and Im putting a mixer. Also in the drawers are a keyboard and mouse and an IP Phone.

Then in the second picture is my stereo system with my laptop on top.

Now, the dilema.

I dont know what to do with one of the two monitors pictured once I get the 2005fpw. I like that corner with the iPod and stuff so I dont wana eliminate that.

I also hate to waste a nice screen.

I was thinking maybe fold the laptop up, put it in the shelf, put the Dell screen pictured on top of the stereo system, connect a keyboard and mouse to the lappy, and then have a system up there. Kind of pointless though.

Someone PLEASE help me out here.

Just moved so I kinda threw it all together.

Very nice. How would you rate those JBL portable speakers? I'm thinking of getting some for my iPod mini. There's no dock on them, right?

On a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate them a 9 because of the price. They put out alot of sound and they dont get fuzzy or anything, there isnt a dock but it comes with the jack that plugs into the top where you plug in your earphones, it does great on batteries, it takes 4 AAA's. I got them because the other dock style speakers arent really that small, these will fit in your pocket they even come with a case.

Well, if you're offering to buy me one of the nice new new metal displays so it'll all match, I'll certainly be interested... ;)

I like the clear better....
I'd be happy to trade my 23" lucite Apple Cinema Display HD plus a DVI to ADC adapter for a 23" aluminum Apple Cinema Display HD. :) I have the original boxes for both.

It is indeed. Sorry, I forgot to mention that on my list of kit. :D

Just teasing – I'm more than happy with my clear display. It's a lovely piece of kit.
