That desk is awesome! It look to have a little bit of a blue tint, which I'm not so sure I would like, but I do like the glass top. :->

Thanks. It does have a blue tint, which I wasn't sure I would be too fond of, but since I already had the blue chair, I went for it. It leaves the desk a little less versatile...but I like it. :)

That nice.......... :D :D
I agree with Platform that tobefirst has an excellent setup . . . and I'm guessing he doesn't mean the "rolleyes" as if he's actually rolling his eyes (which is a sarcastic gesture), but rather that the emoticon resembles someone looking upward, in this case at the pictures. :) :)

Well the new desk and the Lacie Bigger disk is in. Just need to hang some pictures and get rid of the hideous file cabinet and the new setup is all done! :D

LOL - Almost - once the file cabinet moves I can get by there, plus there is a sliding door behind where I was standing to take the picture. :D

Now I just have to convince the significant other that the bookcase need to move into the living room so I can get a table for the laser and inkjet printers. ;)

What size is that Bigger disk? looks like the 1TB one - just curious as I've not seen one? :)

iGary your set up is so fine. One of the things i love about apple is there elegant designs, seeing their designs with a nice clean set up from desks to the apple mouse is wicked.

Thats also one very powerful set up, may i ask what you use it for?

Mess of a desk...

imacg5-setup.jpg

Unfortunately unlike most of you my desk is not clean.....ever! :p

Recently my brother got his iMac G5 for college and since he doesn't have a place for it he gets to share my PC desk. Luckily most of the time he isn't home so I get to use it (like I am now :)) As you can see my desk is a MESS, in fact the surrounding area is too...why? I've been messing around with a lot of computers.

As you can see there's an eMate 300 and an Apple QuickTake 150 on my new chair ($29 sale OH YEAH) and the infamous Mac 7100 with 8.2 beta is under the desk, on top of that mac is a UMAX Apus 2000 Mac Clone and to the left of the mac pile is a spindle of CDs and my gaming PC. Which has a PowerBook 5300cs, bottle of juice, and an old SCSI HP CD Burner on it.

Also if you look around desk you'll see a Darth Vader lightsaber, Sega Genesis, Printer/Scanner, old hard drives (which didn't sell ;)), some boxes...and a million wires. When my brother finally moves into his dorm I'll have the desk all for myself again and I'll be slightly less messy. :D

Yup right on the spot............looking upwards :D

Yep, that's the nicest, cleanest setup I've seen. Good job!

EDIT: iGary, where'd you get that Apple mouse pad?

I believe I got the mouse pad from Red Light Runner of The Missing Bite (Google them).

Someone asked what I use it for.

E-mail, surfing, Word...

Just kidding. :D

I do photo editing for a big project right now.

iGary; may I kindly make a request please. As well as the same request for tobefirst.

Can we see a frontal, screen dead center, display of your setups; please?? :D

Apple; a company with the ability and know-how to make a computer part of art, lifestyle, and a platform for your work. The ability to make a computer transparent from the work you need to use it for.

What is cool is at my new job (nothing to brag about just a stepping stone) there are 2 users with Macs in their homes. 1 uses a PC as well. Unfortunately for me they dont have older G4 machines to sell me. :( However, the savings pot is growing. I'm actually tetering towards a 12" PowerBook G4, but the portability isnt as great as teh iMac.

I read this as if you mean the iMac is more easy to carry around than a 12" powerbook.

I guess you meant it the other way around, or maybe you're just living in a parallel, but slightly different, universe. :D

Thanks iGary! Just wondering what is your opinion on the quality of it? It does look awesome, but I read in another thread that iBlue ordered from that site, and got a really thin and cheap-feeling mousepad with a gross sticky bottom.

So far so good - I've been using two of them for about three months...;)

I'm really impressed by your setup iGary. It looks very professional. I also like the look of the natural wood. ;)

As long as you know where everyone is located LimeiBook86. My desk is a mess also. Can always take heart in the saying, that an empty desk means an empty mind. Chances are you are a very busy young man. ;)

You have a very neat, compact and organized look there seattlemaclover. It seems to represent everything that todays college student would need. ;)
