I believe I got the mouse pad from Red Light Runner of The Missing Bite (Google them).

Someone asked what I use it for.

E-mail, surfing, Word...

Just kidding. :D

I do photo editing for a big project right now.

As long as you know where everyone is located LimeiBook86. My desk is a mess also. Can always take heart in the saying, that an empty desk means an empty mind. Chances are you are a very busy young man.

I usually do, but once my brother goes to college I can have my All-In-One Printer back on my desk instead of being carefully balanced on my bookshelf. And I'm always busy, I need a break, haha :)

I read this as if you mean the iMac is more easy to carry around than a 12" powerbook.

I guess you meant it the other way around, or maybe you're just living in a parallel, but slightly different, universe. :D

Yeah my sentence structure is horrible to say the least. I meant that portability as a whole isnt a match for the power of the iMac G5. Yet with a portable productivity is wherever you are.

So how about those setup frontal shots, I need desktop Mac porn! :D

iGary; may I kindly make a request please. As well as the same request for tobefirst.

Can we see a frontal, screen dead center, display of your setups; please?? :D

Ask and you shall recieve. This is the best I could do with my camera at 2 in the morning. I moved the chair. I hope that was okay. :)

It looks like iGary would need a hella wide-angle lens to get his. :)

Nice set-up. Where did you get the dual display desktop picture? It looks awesome.

@tobefirst

tobefirst,

Many thanks man! Just finished masturbating the mental on your desktop frontal center page! lol.

Man with that much blue, and the crazy overnight humidity of 70% & 27 Celcius here in Hamilton/Toronto That really cooled me down. Seriously. I want to just go for a swim in that room & desktop right there.

Man wheres an imaginary nicotine patch when ya need one. (jk here I actually dont smoke).

Cheers mate!

Unfortunately unlike most of you my desk is not clean.....ever! :p

Recently my brother got his iMac G5 for college and since he doesn't have a place for it he gets to share my PC desk. Luckily most of the time he isn't home so I get to use it (like I am now :)) As you can see my desk is a MESS, in fact the surrounding area is too...why? I've been messing around with a lot of computers.

As you can see there's an eMate 300 and an Apple QuickTake 150 on my new chair ($29 sale OH YEAH) and the infamous Mac 7100 with 8.2 beta is under the desk, on top of that mac is a UMAX Apus 2000 Mac Clone and to the left of the mac pile is a spindle of CDs and my gaming PC. Which has a PowerBook 5300cs, bottle of juice, and an old SCSI HP CD Burner on it.

Also if you look around desk you'll see a Darth Vader lightsaber, Sega Genesis, Printer/Scanner, old hard drives (which didn't sell ;)), some boxes...and a million wires. When my brother finally moves into his dorm I'll have the desk all for myself again and I'll be slightly less messy. :D

Nice setup! So how many macs do you own now? :D

New desk and new display (ViewSonic VP171b).

Next purchase will be a Mac Mini (waiting for the update). I can't stand anymore this old and noisy 866 MHz Dell with 128Mb RAM.

I pulled it from one of the stock photo disks we have at work. It was a larger picture that I just cropped to fit my display. I am finding it hard to find dual desktop wallpapers that I actually like...so I make my own. :)

okay, that's just a little weird...but whatever works for you. :) [Note to self: do not supply Prom1 with anymore pictures!] :)

Since I just got this old PM 8100/100 today, I though I should post some pictures for you guys!

powermacimac.jpg

You're gunna say, "where is the keyboard and mouse!" Well...:

powermac2.jpg

Back there when not in use... When its on, I move the basket thing in front, and place the keyboard and mouse (uh, and mouse-pad) on that wicker table.

powermac1.jpg

Just another closer shot.

My Atari 2600 (I have a lot of games for that. It's a blast to play) with an IIci in the background (that's what the Keyboard, mouse, and "CD Caddy" are on). I figure this can be my "vintage" section of the house. The IIci does work, but I figure I can have more fun with the PowerMac. And anyway, I'm using the display from the IIci for the PM, since I was given only one display. In addition to the two computers, monitor, and CD Caddy, I got a bunch of software and two Zip drives. And, it was all free!

AWESOME DUDE!! I love this old stuff, I have that Graphite iMac, IIci, the 8100, the 13" RGB Monitor and the Atari 2600! Did you sneak into my house or something?! :D Awesome setup, I need to clean up my place and then I'll take pictures of 'Retro-Mac Town USA' :)

people should really stop quoting with the picture
 yeah sorry didn't notice how big those are...there should be something, an HTML code or a script that resizes them or just links them to the original.

Or I could delete them manually *goes back and edits post*, MacRumors is now 1% more 56k friendly :D

Finally got around to taking a pic of my new Pro Keyboard on iCurve set-up idea. It's been like this for 2 days and I like it because I can rest my elbows on my chair and then type without having to lean on my desk at all. I can also look down at the keyboard quick if needed and my eyes will be so close to my monitor. I just like the overall feel, but it doesn't look that great....haha.

Pics are attached.

Nice setup man! Never thought of using the iCurve that way :D

Haha Thanks guys! It's interesting. Right now I took it down because it was getting old and I didn't feel like resting me elbows on my chair arms anymore. I think it's more or an "I feel like an elevated kb day event" rather than a permanent thing.

ham_man, what is your avatar of?
