Still using dial-up? Eh, so am I. Nice setup! What's the riser under the iBook?

Eww dial up. That is so 90's.

Just enjoy that new iBook finalcoolman. And treat it right with DSL, Cable, or Fiber Optic internet service as soon as it is in your area and you have the money for it. New computers love broadband.

Where do you people buy your desks?! They look so nice! I especially the glass ones, I know iGary's is from IKEA (nice choice, if my room was that big, I'd probably buy one of those), and Capt Underpants sleek black table (with some nice Macs). :)

I'd post my two setups but my desks are messy. Maybe some other time ;)

my current setup

nice having 2 macs. the mini is the main system..

I can't help it! The DSL ran short about 1/2 a mile before our house. Cable won't reach, and satellite is to dang expensive. So, it has to be dial-up.

This is my set up, I'm 23 and paid for all of it with my hard earned whilst putting myself through uni. I love it, sure it's not as flashy as some of the others but hey, you have to start somewhere with an idea as to where you'd like to end up. But it all works really well and that's the main point isn't it?

How do you use a monitor on the floor? People who walk in could wonder why you're staring at your crotch.

All the cables are led, the POS Dell is here.

I'm done and ready for work.

That was a freaking job and a half.

No more cable ties, no more UPS's no more routing wires - booyah! :D

Nice PowerMac, iPod, and iBook. Have the same Dell and while I like my eMac much better, it isn't so bad. :)

Okay, not that many changes, but my iBook is more settled in. Next purchase, iCurve.
BTW, Here is all the peripherials(sp?) connected to the iBook:
Sony DRX-710UL External DVD Burner
Logitech LX700 Wireless Desktop
Apple 20GB 3rd Gen
Altec Lansing 2100

Printer and Monitor is hooked up to PC. It's a server

Where did you get the plastic stand for your iBook?

That stand or riser is actually the iBreeze from Macmice. It is sad it is ignorantly overlooked because of the iCurve and it's a couple dollars cheaper too. I got it for $39.99 CDN from a store called London Drugs which is a good deal in my opinion. It's alot nicer in my opinion if you have a hutch on your desk so you don't need to lift it that high like the iCurve. It has (very quiet) fans underneath also and is powered by the iBooks USB with the funky clear USB cable you see. You can turn them on and off as you please with a switch. On the back of the iBreeze there is a passthrough so you can permantly plug in a USB hub. Then you can have all your USB devices connected with that one cable. This is the products website:

And a very good review with LOTS of pictures:
