ok this is just an idea...

Move the PB to the left hand corner of the desk. Put all the Docks/USB hub on the right side of the PB near the end of the desk. Get ride of the mouse pad if possible and move the mouse to the right. Move the wires going down the middle to the the left side wood so they aren't visable. (Wire ties and a staple gun are very helpful :D ) then move the other things like tape, sharpener, lamp to the left side by the stapler.

I don't Know if this works for you, but I like to have usable desktop space and with the PB right in the middle you only have it on either side. I also don't like seeing wires, unless coming/going to the comp.

alright, I know this doesnt look like much, but omg was it hard to move all the wires around without them ripping out of the wall. Is this like what you had in mind? I deffinatley think it looks better than before, and that one wire comming down the middle is unfixable. Now I think my setup is begging for a 20" dell or apple screen. Although I really wish now that I had gotten a 12" or 15" powerbook, because the 17" is probally gonna look really wierd and unporportional to a 20" screen. I just got the 17" at first b/c it was so pretty. So anymore suggestions on setup or what to add? thanks.

P.S. Is there any way I could sell my powerbook and get pretty close to the money I bought it for? I got for right around $2800. Its maxed out except for the ram which is 1.5gb. I would pobally sell it and get a 12" if I could get close to the same money for what I bought it for. Its in perfect condition and I still have everything it came with? or do you have any other suggestions?

That's a nice setup. I especially like how you basically can't see any wires.

Thank you!
But you should see under the desk, I faint almost everytime I look down there!!!

I'll post a pic :p

My new iMac G5 20" and 3G iPod. Not included is my iBook G3, my iMac is too damn big to get it on the same desk :) .

No, please don't! The illusion is better maintained if we don't see what's behind the curtain... if you saw the nest of wires behind my desk, you'd be truly shocked.

You like hidden wires? Then avert your eyes.

Power Book G4 Titanium
LaCie Bigger Disc Extreme
Lexmark Optra E312
Apple Bluetooth Mouse/Keyboard
HP Photosmart camera and dock
Old Yamaha CLP-50 Keyboard
Various USB hubs abd devices

My computer's basically plugged into everything I own, with the exception of the vacuum cleaner, dog, and wood stove....

oh man, Im impatient.. someone wanna answer my post a few replies above? :D

One of the best ways to find out how much something is worth, in my opinion, is to go to eBay and do an advanced search of completed listings for what you're thinking about selling. That will give you a good idea of how much you can get for it.

Do you have a link to that picture that's above the TV? ;)

Ive seen that poster for sale at the National Portrait Gallery in London, i was gonna buy it but for some reason i went with the Kate Moss one :p

how is it possible that alot of the powerbook setups I see dont contain many wires. It is near imposible for me to make my setup look clean. If I take out all of my periphrials then I am stilll left with the basic power cord, ethernet, and printer. Explain your magic to me.

I can help a little.
Power Cable: Only needs to plugged in when the laptop needs charging.
Ethernet: Hello, WiFi
Printer: Only need to plug in USB when needed or have it hooked up to wireless router thus no need for printer to be hooked up to laptop via USB cable.

Rob587 - I have that exact same printer and Bose 'system.' I haven't seen many of those.. great sound, eh? Am loving looking through this thread!

YEA MAN! Im a functionality and quality kinda guy. Hence the AMAZING AMAZING BOSE STEREO(seriously is the best sound in the world for its size), the sweet fast hp printer, and of course, the apple computer.

wow, I really just amazed myself..... it took some faneggeling(not lookin up spelling), but I have achieved a clean setup with full functionality. Except when I want to use the hub i have to plug it in, but I ussually dont use it. Now on to a more modern desk lamp. :D

looks good... The PB didnt look as good as I thought it would in the corner.

why does the Keyboard keep appearing and disappearing???? Maybe you should get an iCurve and a cool "macish" lamp.

Not a fan of the mouse, eh?
the mouse is there..may be a tough little thing to see. i had the logitech for my ibook and i do use both buttons normally and i was already accustomed to it so my white apple mouse is hooked up to my old iMac G3 (aka the server)in another room (below a desk and tucked away)
