xPismo, they create "pressure" when they're switched on. After a while it just gives me a headache. I've read about other people with the same problem as I have with them, but others are fine.

(I'm speaking about all noise-cancelling headphones by the way - not just the Sony's.)

Incredible headphones, though.

I actually just looked back and noticed the headphones aren't exactly the same as mine. Mine are Sony Noise-Cancelling Headphones MDR-NC50.

Update: new desk

After working my butt off doing overtime, I decided to treat myself to a new desk, and a printer. The desk is a Z-Line from Staples. I almost bought the one Markkk has, but decided I wanted the extra desk space and went with the 'L' shaped one. The printer is a Brother HL2070N B&W Laser that has a built-in ethernet port. Also visible(from left-to-right): 2x160GB external HDD's, Actiontec DSL Gateway, Gameboy Advance SP+ & Micro, 1GB iPod Shuffle, 160GB external hard drive for the Mini, Griffin AirClick USB, camera dock(Kodak V530), Logitech webcam, Gateway FPD2185W LCD HD monitor, Saitek Eclipse keyboard, Logitech Z-530 speakers, Apple keyboard in the keyboard tray, and a Macally optical mouse.

Clean setup man Tup.

Heh, I filled 2 other rooms up with all of my crap, just clearing out half of my room to get the old desk out and setup the new one. I still have to move all my stuff back in, at which point things will quickly become messy once again. At least i'll have the photos to remember what my room looked like clean.

Is that... an IKEA Jerker?!
Yes it is! In my opnion the IKEA Jerker is the best desk ever. It has a low price point, looks great, and provides a ridiculously large table surface.

It should be noted that I'm talking about the single level Jerker. That multi-leveled one isn't so hot.

Start to present

1. Apple IIe with Apple powered monitor, floppy drive, Epson dot matrix printer and joystick

2. Years later. Brief forray into a b&w laptop.

3. Went back to college. 8600 a/v upgrade RAM, hard drive and processor (G3). Went through a bunch of monitors. Bought tons of accessories (the big Tablet for example). Still have it in the basement as a paper weight. Got me through a ton of work.

4. Graduated from college. G4 dual 1.25 mirror Door. Tried desperatley to take as many of the accessories with me from the prior machine with little luck. Two more hard drives, more RAM. Dual monitor. Color laser printer

5. G3 iBook 12". Bought off of a school. Could only do web surfing and coding. Forget Photoshop. It helped tremendously with travel and freelance.

6. G4 17" Titanium. Recently purchased. Wanted the last run 15" but everyone was out of stock and I needed something in a pinch. Got a excellent price. I will be travelling a lot in the next 6 months and I need portable muscle. I use it almost exclusively at home (Mirror Door is way to loud). It is heavy (which doesn't bother me) and sometimes the size is in the way. But it has plenty of torque.

My Setup

I have had my iBook since January, but I got the soundsticks a few weeks ago, and I got the keyboard, mighty mouse and iCurve today. The iBook also has an iSkin, but this was getting washed when I took these pictures.
My Nikon Coolpix 2100 is playing up, so I took these pictures using my camera phone (2 MP) and sent them to my iBook via bluetooth.

Tell me what you think!

P.S. I know the subwoofer if meant to go under the desk, but I kept bumping into it with my feet!

I need practice so I did a QTVR of my rig. :)

I love how clean everything looks. Even the two ipods in the corner... not a detail was overlooked... basically what i'm trying to say is that that is an awesome setup!!!

I can't work in a mess. I think I am mildy obsessive compulsive. For real.

Thanks though - I love my Apple stuff.

iGary, wow, ok so seeing the tripod in the glass with no camera was weird, and being able to look down at the tripod mount was rather neat as well.

In terms of our setup, well your desk, are you drinking Steve Water™?
