I think the mouse looks pretty spiffy. Good job, and good luck assembling your future setup.

Yeah, It'll all come together som time near X-mas I hope :( I should post my current current as of today setup tho. I like it:D Any other ideas on how to make a setup 1337? I was thinking eyeTV + Xbox/PS3?

Alex, you are still missing the point entirely.

The guy got berated for wall mounting a Dell, based alone on it looking not as good as the Apple monitors (which is where the silver border comment came from), and also had a go because you could actually see cables. Of course he is gonna lash out because someone assumes money grows on trees.

Can the Dell vs. Apple monitor posts get split into their own thread? Its kind of annoying having to go through dozens of posts which don't have anything to do with the topic to find the lovely pictures and comments.

Its a valid discussion and I for one would be interested in the outcome, but please take it elsewhere for the sake of this thread. We wouldn't want it locked after all..

Why? So we should have a Dell-monitor only setup and a Apple-monitor only setup? That doesn't make sense. "Oh, you have to put this on THIS forum because APPLE monitors are SO much better!" "It sounds like you're discriminating against Dell-monitor users", etc, etc, etc.

Nah, if they want to have the Apple vs Dell monitor debate, they can go have it on their own forum. And there's plenty of advantages to owning a Dell monitor, (the main being the ability to play XBOX/360, PS2, Gamecube, etc)

There can be a general discussion thread about it somewhere else, but to raise the issue here is a bit pointless IMHO.

Hi benthewraith. I think you misread my post. I'm not implying that setups should be categorized by their monitor's brand.

What I am trying to say is that the posts pertaining to the argument over Dell and Apple monitors should be taken elsewhere because the argument isn't related to the topic. Like I said, its valid, but in the wrong place.

All setups = here
Argument = not here

I'll consider editing my post for clarification, my applogies for your confusion. Also, I don't mind you dropping me a PM if I haven't made myself clear enough.

I tried to put an end to it, as well. No one listened. :/ I never thought my photos would cause so much drama!

ahhhhh! Stop the war of Dell vs. ACD...!!

To each their own. It will depend on the user's needs and income as to whether the ACD is worth it. For me, the ACD is a rip off, and not at all worth its price tag compared to what else it out there. I'm a college kid on a college kid's budget, and not doing anything that would even come CLOSE to challenging the differences between the Dell display and Apple's.

But others might (will!) disagree, others might have needs that the ACD can only satisfy, others might follow Apple blindly, and others might just have so much money that they couldn't care less. Does it matter? No. You earn your money, I earn mine, and we all can choose what to do with it.

As long as everyone is happy with their own setup, that should be enough.

 I just read that wrong. And yeah, you made yourself clear enough. ;)

No problem at all..thanks for reassuring me in my grasp of the English language. :D

xfiftyfour, I saw your earlier attempt and thought the argument was finished. Haahahhahahahaha; wrong. I recall this happening within this very thread not long ago...I may be as bold as to call the thread notorious on this particular front. We all love the thread though, so onward and upward. Anyways I think/hope we quashed the argument. Nice setup by the way.

Here's my "Better" setup!

lol, duct tape is 1337! But I'm working on funds for a "real" dock.

Here's how ity goes:
iPod:X-mas present 2005
nano:won it last month
shuffle:Birthday 2005
V3: contract

so, as you can see my "chedda" is kinda short.
And: apple doesn't make a non-'tape iPod stand of sorts.

Nano Dock

I picked up a nano dock at Target for $4.95....don't know the reason for the drastic sale, but Target may be not be carrying them anymore and thus dumping inventory...check it out....its the only reason I have a dock

Mwahaha, yeah I saw those too! The new Nanos probably have a slightly different dock?
