Is there some simple way to convert an icon I have on my Mac, to a .png file that can be used on the touch? Tried putting it into my theme manually using Cyber Duck, but got some error, and basically didn't transfer. I converted the icon to a .png file, but maybe it was just too big...

Yeah I've been there. The way I had to do it unfortunately was use Axilas Icon Compaser (or something along those lines) to open the .icn file in XP and then save it as a standard .ico Windows icon file and then open that new icon in Paint.NET (also Windows only), resize it and save it as a PNG. That was a few week ago so things may have changed but that's the way I've been doing it. Luckily I have Fusion with XP :/
You may also want to google the '<programme name> icon' such as 'iMovie icon' and it may turn up some results that are PNGs.

does anyone know now to make the text below the apps you have in the dock go further down as they do on iphone, as im making my home page iphone like, cheers

How do you make a spring board scroll up and dowN?

Try back a couple of pages, the poster who had this was using an older version of SummerBoard. If you're referring to being able to have two pages of icons, one next to each other, then install the newest version of SummerBoard from Installer

if you screen shot (cmd shft 4 then space) an icon it will save as a png with transparency ( i think this only works on the desktop though not in the finder) preview can also save as different files.

i did a search and found nothing on how to make the dock text lower like on the iphone, so could someone please show me because my ipod looks daft with the iphone dock atm, cheers

Download this new preferences file for Settings.app and turn off "New Dock"

Original iPhone article here:

That's what I did and it looks exactly like the iPhone Dock. Just make sure you back up the original files and put the new files in Settings.app package contents.

Yay THANK YOU SO MUCH XD, would you also happen to know how i can get a signal strength bar thingy for my ''iphone'' for the top corner, cheers Liam

That's not the problem I have, I know how to change the file to a .png file. I can't figure out how to make the icon smaller so it can be used on the touch (60x60 pixels instead of 80x80).

Thanks
