But what do you gain going from WM5 to WM6 Professional?
I hear WM5 Smartphone to WM6 Standard give much more of an upgrade. IF you upgrading to WM6 just for the looks, thats not much of an upgrade, is it?

Furthermore - unlocking it for a firmware upgrade seems to void your warranty as you state. Going back to WM5 does the warranty center know whats its been tampared with. and does the Windows app support this up/down-grade directly? I thought that this couldn't be done on WM systems, or is this farely new to upgrade & downgrade without 3rd party apps?
 
meh, I'm waiting for the official WM6 update from HTC in June. If it's official, they can't give me any crap should I need to send it in.

finally upgraded

Well I finally stopped saving the planet and got an upgrade after 6 years.

I upgraded from my Nokia 3285 (first image) to the Verizon LG 8300. I was seriously thinking about getting the Moto SLVR L7c only because I like the candybar style. At least I have a 30 day trial period.

Now I am trying to find out how to get my own ringtones on. Is it easier using a usb cable rather than BT? NVM.

I like the phone overall. It's got the new Flash theme UI and it fits in my backpack's phone holder. VGA vs. a 1.3 I don't really care about as thats why I have a reg. digital camera. And weirdly enough for me is that the stripped down Moto L7c was slightly more $$ than the LG.

I don't even know what it is. I really hate Verizon. I do not know what the password is for the lock code on my phone, so naturally I went to the store to have them wipe it. I get it back after waiting an hour and half and they say we couldn't fix it. Then I had to pay $50 bucks for them telling me it was broken.

Great customer service Verizon. I am dumping you the second my contract ends, and this crappy phone I dont even know the name of.
 
THe Dopod will be my upgrade from my Pearl.
The W580 will be my wife's new phone - shhh I'm taking the headset though ;)

I need multimedia on the go, and although I love S60 the only two designs I like lack WiFi.

That would be to motov710 i had it too it sucks!!

That would be the Motorola V710. Chances are your lock code is the last four digits of your phone number. Or 000000 (six zeros)
 
Ok here it is.. its my new(as of friday) Nokia N75.. it sure is an upgrade from my SE W300i!! I fixed the poor battery life a by a little bit but the menus and processor seem a bit slow..(Click for bigger)

I really need to vent right now.

I've been waiting for the iphone for... FOREVER. And it seems its going to be about 2 to 3 more weeks. OH MY GOSH. I've sold my entire SmartPhone collection, at least 20 phones. And am READY for the iPhone. I'm hoping for online ordering... I'll camp out up to 7 days however.

Why do you have so many phones? You're like a mini appleintelrock :D. You planning on an iphone? The Pearl is my favorite phone to date from RIM as well.

I hate the Pearl more than anything. I have been through so many of those with warranty service it's not even funny. My favorate phone so far is the 8300 Curve Blackberry from AT&T. I am waiting for the iPhone so I picked this up to hold me over. (30 day return policy)

I just got the Curve nd it is AMAZING! I am not bothering with the iPhone, the Curve is everything I want in a phone.
