So, is everyone ready for this Friday and the non-stop iPhone 3G posts in this thread?

We should have a contest to guess what time the first pic of a iPhone 3G shows up on this thread.

Probably a few minutes or seconds after they launch, someone will bring a laptop with them and take a pic and post it with the Apple Store's WiFi.

I guess we'll have to do like we did last year, whit the iPhone release, and STRONGLY ask people to make a dedicated "look at my iPhone 3G" thread, and delete most (all) form this one, temporarily making it into a "Post your (non-Apple) Phone"-thread...;)

Why not make your own official stickied: "LOOK AT MY IPHONE 3G ZOMG!!!!!!" thread and move any iPhone 3G posts to there insted of having people make loads and loads of iPhone 3G threads like you just know they will?

He-he...

Other's gave to do that... I'll probably stand in line, after all... ;)

We'll see if any New Zealanders or Australians starts a thread when they get their shiny new toys...

Blackberry Curve 8310, Nokia E71, Nokia N95, HTC Shadow, Apple iPhone, Nokia N76, and Sierra Wireless Aircard 881U

:) I work for a cell phone carrier, I get to demo units.

E71 ... AT&T??! Drop us a hint will ya, please?!

That or the E66 WILL be my very next phone!

Rogers Wireless is getting bad press over the iPhone lately!

*Bad contract decisions
*No unlimited data on network.
*pricing is mad crazy
*Limited initially (rumored) to NEW or HUP users (HUP=Hardware Upgrade).

Rumors abound that Apple was displeased (43K users petitioning against the pricing & data model Rogers has confirmed on their site) and sent the bulk of their orders to Europe. I'd believe the displeasure from Apple Executives, but sending the bulk of the order to Europe and not keep them south of border for sales doesn't quite make sense.

No not ATT, smaller regional carrier, E71 is my second favorite phone, bold is going to be here anytime now, iPhone is at&t only so we don't get them, doesn't mean some upper people in the corner offices don't have them ;) and their MacBook Air's. But when I ask them to replace my VAIO with a MacBook Pro, they say go ahead and try.

I know all about the Bold, BES & BIS2.5. The Bold will sell and I may get to play with one late this summer but as my main daily device ... just missing the consumer apps that I prefer and the ability to store maps on the MicroSD (unless something recently has changed). Its not impossible for the BB to be able to do this, just no official API support from RIM just yet.

Haha not my current phone, but I'm getting this whenever it comes out! SE c905. 8.1 megapixels! My k800i needs an upgrade

SE c905:
* 8MP (the .1 doesn't make a difference really lol) its still CMOS but the lens is supposed to be taken from the Cybershot Camera line so it SHOULD be better than my K850i. I say SHOULD because thats the hype that SE did with the K850i over the K790a. Only indoor or night shots seem to be better on the K850i.
* WiFi (802.11b/g)
* GPS (hardware but also Assisted; aka AGPS)
* Flash+Java based menu. Called their Capuchin Project. Its still an A200 phone like the K850i but it'll be very different.

The shutter on the back seems to be very slick! If you liked the K790a you'll LOVE this. But can you wait until 4th QTR?? October-December?!!

Oh I'm definitely waiting for it.
I wonder how much it'll cost though. Maybe 500-600?

Just dropped AT&T like a hot potato. Sold our iPhones, which I miss a little.

I picked up the LG eNV2. Every day that goes by, I like it more and more.

My wife picked up the Palm Centro, then exchanged it for the LG Dare. She likes it so far.

I never have any of the problems with my phone that others have:

No battery life problems.
No sync problems.
No signal problems.
No large monthy bills.
No contracts with early-termination fees.
No risk of causing accidents by driving while talking.
No Bluetooth needed because it comes with its own earpiece connected, so you can't lose it!

Kinda makes you wonder why we go through all the hassles! :D
