Oh that's my new Trek 1.1 that I got at the Trekfest event like a week ago. It's pretty basic with Shimano 2300 drivetrain but I'm just starting road biking and I absolutely love it and it fits me great! I've also got a 2012 Trek Gary Fisher Mamba 29er with Shimano Alivio shifters, Acera front derailleur, and Deore XT rear (which I got for a bargain to upgrade over the stock Deore). I love my bikes as much as my other babies (my Macs)!

Nice! I have the XT on my Camber & it is by far the nicest derailleur I've ever had the pleasure to use. However I'm more into road myself too - got a little Viking Ventoux LE '11 clocking along. It's nothing special (budgets shifters, 24 speed Sora) but for the price it was a great buy. I did have an Allez but had to get rid of it due to cash issues.

Nice! The XT is really awesome; shifts as smooth as cutting butter with a hot knife. Always good to know another cyclist with good taste in computers

My iBook G4 1.2 Ghz, 1.25 GB of RAM and 60GB HDD upgraded from an HD I had laying around

PowerMac7,3 Dual 2GHz, 4GB Ram + 22" Apple Cinema Display and my trusty viper, 12" PowerBook6,8 1.5GHz, 1.25 GB Ram that's acting as the Wi-Fi beacon for the G5, since it's lacking a Wi-Fi card.

Why do you have it the other way around, and with the cover off? I must say it looks pretty cool but I was wondering if it has any reasons besides maybe that. :)

All I have for now... Just got it Sunday.

1.25GHz, 512MB RAM, running 10.3.9 :p

I have two 1GB sticks ordered, scored them for $30 total :D and putting Leopard on this weekend.

Should be a decent computer to lug around and play around with OS X on.

My Powerbook G3 Pismo was retired after both batteries crapped out. It was replaced with a 1.67ghz Powerbook G4 (Alubook). Its a bit dodgy but works fine. Took some parts from my work rig, this one might even get a high res screen if it fits. Got a bad logic board on the other one.

Pic taken a minute after i unboxed it. With a clean Leopard install. A bit more bloated now.

Don't really have a place to keep it. No fancy mac corner on my end. Three monitors and a Thinkpad w/ ADV dock takes up all the space.

Oh man I'm jelly.
I'm on the hunt for another 20" Cinema Display, I forgot they went back that far! Pics please! :3

Here she is ready for action! Goodbye 2009 Samsung ugly monitor, hello sexy 2005 Apple Cinema Display :D

It still impresses me how these things 8 years old, still surpass almost every monitor out there today in colours, brightness, viewing angles and of course design.

(If image is upsidedown clicking the image will bring up the proper version. Macrumors needs to fix their iOS uploader!)

It's still upside down.

Good looking monitor. I still use two of them. Love the design. The best looking monitors Apple ever made. And best of all. They are non-glossy. :)

Great find. Those are quite expensive, still.

The only two things I miss with my 12" PB is a higher res screen and a backlit keyboard. Would love to mod my PB. If anyone knows how to accomplish this, just say the word...

Mine set me back just 85 quid. Seller said it kept crashing, PRAM battery was dead and it didn't charge the main battery. I reinstalled leopard, charged it for 72 hours without a main battery and bought a new main battery. Now it works perfectly. Real bargain if I may say so. But it could've had far more issues. Basically it was a lottery.

Dunno about the backlit keyboard, but i know the high res screen can be installed. I think there is an IBM laptop with a screen that fits.

Yeah it looks just as vibrant and sharp as my dads 27inch iMac :D got it off a guy in Dublin for €150 which is excellent compared to the crazy prices they go for on eBay. I've seen the power adapters go for €100+ alone! :p

It's relatively easy to find a 12" screen with a resolution of 1024x768. In fact, ifixit sells one: http://www.ifixit.com/PowerBook-Parts/G4-Aluminum-12-Inch-LCD-Panel/IF153-082

However, this is not what I'm looking for. I'm searching for a screen with a higher resolution. There was someone who found a panel and somehow got it to work: http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/PowerBook+G4+Aluminum+12-Inch+1-1.5+GHz+LCD+panel+upgrade/3117/3 He wrote it's a HV121P01, whatever that means...

A quick search on google has given me the screen is for a Lenovo thinkpad X60T X61T Laptop Display SXGA+
hope this helps you :)

Please re-read my post. I clearly stated high res screen. Now I know my English isn't perfect, but that can hardly be misunderstood.

As Antonius stated, the screen in question is from a Lenovo laptop computer. I was only a year off. Close enough I suppose. Those screens can be found on ebay or at forum.thinkpads.com. Contact ajkula66, TuuS and ThinkRob. Those guys usually have a bucketload of parts and they're all legit. One of them is bound to have one.

Well. I'm a bit confused because there's a Lenovo X61T Notebook/Tablet All-in-one device... A screen is sold separately, but for around 200 bucks - even more expensive than some 15" Powerbooks with hi-res matte display... I'll dig into this further. Thanks anyway. Modding is expensive it seems.

This thread is about photos. I recently acquired a white Apple Pro Mouse in good condition. It's working too. I always loved these one-button mice. They had an incredible design.

That is because you are comparing to crappy monitors.
Grab a good ips screen and see the difference :)
