Organized my desk a little more to show off my baby. 17" iMac G4 800MHz.
Bought it off of a guy on kijiji months back. Was still in the box, almost mint condition.
Now it's my OS 9 computer and i have no issues or qualms with it.

I've still got an IntelliMouse Optical bought on the day they came into the shop I worked in. It's well over 15 years old, still works perfectly. It's a yellowing a little now though.
I have that mouse and a logitech basic too. Along with 2 apple pro mice and a mighty mouse. I could bust out my adb mouse with the imate installed.

My three MS mice (left to right) :
Intellimouse, Intellimouse Optical, Sidewinder X3.

The X3 was picked up cheap in 2011, the optical was in daily use for the previous 11 years!

How did you get Mavericks on that iMac and the X1600 working?

It's currently running ML, but I'll be attempting to run Mavericks on it soon. I upgraded it to a C2D, then used MacPostFactor and installed over a flash drive. I also flashed the firmware from 4,1 to 5,1, which also allows for more RAM to be installed. It has been working extremely well with no hiccups whatsoever. I only had to redo the hack once because some updates broke it (all I had to do was boot into recovery and press rehack which took all of 5 minutes to do). I'm really glad I did the upgrade, since it doubled its usability for me.

Been a few years since I posted in here - here's how the setup is looking these days. It's 50/50 Intel and PowerPC. Left to right we have my G5 (2.0DP/8GB/64SSD+1000HDD) and my 12" PowerBook (1.5/1.25/256SSD) with my 2012 mini server poking out behind the PowerBook. Next up is my main machine, the 2011 iMac (2.7i5/32GB/256SSD+500HDD fusion) and 2011 Air (1.6i5/2GB/256SSD). Filling out the right is my old iMac G4 (800MHz/1GB/120HDD).

The PowerBook is my primary computer for my classroom, and the machine that I do most of my school productivity stuff on. The Power Mac serves as a backup of everything on the PowerBook, as well as a machine to do school stuff on at home when I want a bigger screen.

The mini serves as a home media server, file server, time machine server, and web server.

The iMac takes care of most of my home and personal productivity duties, with the Air serving as a tiny, portable version of it.

The iMac G4 serves today solely as a music machine, because those Apple Pro Speakers just sound so good paired with that machine. Plus, it's one of the most attractive designs Apple has ever produced, so it's nice to have on the desk :)

There's also a 2012 13" Retina on top of the G5, but I really don't use it much these days.

Oh! I can be apart of two trends at once.

That was my only Mac and computer, circa 2010. Its really sad that, then, I could easily browse the web and do other tasks without it bogging down (on 10.5, mind you). It was a 667Mhz PowerBook Ti without a screen :). Also, notice the Microsoft mouse in the corner?

I did the same thing at one time when I had 3 TiBooks and only one had a working screen. It worked great.

Well I moved the majority of my beigeness into the closet for a better setup

2xBeige G3s and a StyleWriter. The PowerBook isn't being used so it's just parked there. The MB was helping transfers files until I get more Ethernet cable ends.

Took time to set up all of my Macs for a few pictures. Excuse the clutter and the dust; I rarely get days off from work and really need to work on my cable management and final setup for everything. The picture quality is kinda meh as well, as I'm still using an old Kodak digital camera from 2009, and my phone camera is too crappy to take pics.

Left to right: iMac Bondi Blue Rev B/512mb RAM/OS 9.2.2, Powerbook Wallstreet 300mhz/512mb RAM/DVD/OS 9.2.2, Powerbook G4 667mhz/1gb RAM/Superdrive/Debian 8 Mate, Powerbook G4 1.5ghz/2gb RAM/OS X 10.4.11, Macbook Pro 2.26ghz/8gb RAM/OS X 10.11.2, iMac 20in/2.4ghz/4gb RAM/OS X 10.11.3, Black Macbook 2ghz/4gb RAM/OS X 10.8.5 (via MacPostFactor), Powermac G5 dual 2.0ghz (June 2004)/8gb RAM/ATI Radeon 9600/20" Cinema Display/OS X 10.5.8

The Intel iMac is a recent addition. The lower CFL is out but the screen is still comfortably viewable. Got it for a steal ($50) and it's in great physical condition. The Wallstreet Powerbook I have is in almost cherry condition, with just a few scratches on the lid. Tightest hinges that I've ever experienced on a WS. The only thing it's missing is new PRAM and a battery. Everything else is maxed, and came that way for $30. Got really lucky with that one.

Mac Mini G4/1.25ghz/1gb RAM/OS X 10.5.8- this is my media and file server, serving from two external drives (the top one is a redundant backup; off most of the time) and feeding three Apple TVs (2-ATV3s, 1 ATV4). Regardless of the ATV4's spec requirements, it'll work just fine with iTunes 10.6.3; no Intel machine required.

23" acrylic Cinema Display. It works great and I usually use it with the G5, but I needed room on the desk for the top picture, so I swapped with with my somewhat unused 20" aluminum display.

Only machine not shown is my son's late 2007 White Macbook, running 10.8.5 (via MacPostFactor).

Next move is decluttering, dusting, and a larger desk...

Nice! I'm about to move my stuff off of Spotify so I can have a lightweight library served up via network drives, hosted by a Mac Mini G4. Soon I'll have an Acrylic iMac for the home theatre down stairs :)

Awesome to see these PPC setups :). They are becoming more rare. We're moving soon, so I don't have it set up yet, but I have a PowerMac G5 (one from my signature) that will be my sons first computer. I have it paired with a 20 inch aluminum cinema display. Barring any hardware failures I don't see why that machine won't last him for many years. Growing up my sister and I used a 68k Mac up through junior high! We didn't know the difference and it did what we needed it to. 'Course that was before the Internet was as big as it was today so.../ramble.
