My lovely Ti 500/768MB ram :D dual boots 9.2.2 and 10.2.8

Shame it has ATI Rage GPU and seems to have lost the ability to read DVDs :( Have to Image stuff on my iBook G3 to get stuff on my Ti

That PowerBook is simply beautiful. Always felt that is was one of the nicest looking laptops ever.

Totally agree - absolutely gorgeous displays. I still to this day have never come across a screen that hugs the bezel as much as my TiBook did. And I don't know why Apple are still insisting on the chiclet style keyboard when the absolute best keyboards they shipped were the scissor key laptops that were in production over a decade ago!

Such a shame about the painted edges though. Very hard to find one now without paint chipping off left, right & centre.

I think you should take a look under a key of a modern Apple laptop.

There are scissors.

I was more getting at the style & travel of the keys than the actual mechanical make-up of them but there we go. The older keyboards seem to have more feel to them - I find the newer keyboards a lot harder to touch type on, as every key is flat it's pretty difficult to actually pick out where you are on the keyboard without having a little peak.

The paint on this one has held on surprisingly

From top to bottom

Left: Commodore Datasette Unit, Commodore VIC-20, Yamaha Mixer Board

Middle: Commodore 1702 Monitor, PowerBook G4 17" 1.33 GHz, OS X Tiger 10.4.11 (With a bondi blue hockey puck mouse connected to it)

Right: Two Acer Aspire One netbooks, left one with Windows 7, right one with Windows 8.

I'm hoping to get an S-Video or DVI to composite adapter to use the 1702 monitor as an extended desktop to the PowerBook. It's currently my secondary machine, but the centerpiece of this setup.
My late 2012 iMac is downstairs :p

Off camera is also my Commodore Amiga 2000 if anyone is interested in that sort of thing :p

(I couldn't get the image to embed for some reason, so there's a link lol)

They Seem to only look good when paired with earlier Quicksliver and mdd models, the g5s are too modern looking to pair well with the retro

What kind of desk is that? I'm thinking of getting one and not sure if I want a larger one for all my Macs or just something small. But that one may look perfect.

The iBook wanted to get its 5 mins of fame as well :D

500mhz G4 with ATI Rage 128 M3 8MB 768 RAM 80GB HD 5400 left
500mhz G3 with ATI Rage 128 M3 8MB 384 RAM 60GB HD 5400 right

Despite being same mhz, the G3 is about ⅔ the speed of the G4

Both laptops are missing their feet :( The TiBook lost its feet when I slid it across my desk and all the feet sort of melted into my desk :S in a big streak. iBooks just got lost over the last 12 years

I don't think that's his desk. A quick search on Google found that it sourced from a Russian trading website (here).

EDIT: The picture, not the desk.

My aunt has one of those desks. Very nice, but the wood is very soft. Don't know where she got it, but had it since 1999.

Not the greatest picture, my apologies...

The PowerBook on the left is a 1.5ghz. Owned since new in October '04. Cosmetically it is in great shape. Both RAM slots work but I did replace the logic board (the original one had the bad slot). It may be tough to see but the screen is yellowed. The battery in this machine is pretty well shot. I can get about an hour max. I guess that's good for 9 years of use. Dual boots 10.4.11 and 10.5.8

The iBook G4 I bought used back in January. It was sold as non functional as it would bot boot. Reseated the hard drive cable and it fired right up. It is in great cosmetic shape. The only flaw is the battery is completely shot. Runs 10.5.8 pretty well on 768 MB of RAM. I use this daily for web browsing.

The PowerBook to the right is a 1.67 ghz model. I installed 10.4.11 on it and had planned on getting some ram for it. (I put a 256 MB module in it to fire it up for this picture. It was not very happy.) I'll get around to getting RAM but it does have the RAM socket problem. Oddly, the top socket is the bad one (it's usually the bottom, right?). The screen is pretty crisp aside from a couple of dark spots. I may swap it to the other one if need be. The case is a little banged up but nothing too bad.

Sorry for the slightly blurry picture. I use a hardware KVM switch for changing between the PC and Mac Pro, the Power Mac G5 is new (well, new to me), I am going to put a second monitor up so I can have both usable at the same time.

No pics are available any more, but I remember reading about this back in the day, and it looked really good.

People sanded the paint off the TiBook and some repainted it, others just left the natural titanium look. I liked the natural look a LOT! Even tried buying one just to try it, ended up not doing it, because that would have been pointless. But nearly sanded my Aluminium PB just to change its appearance.
Its a nice proyect if you are so inclined.

I believe my setup will stay like this for a while, I really like the iMac G4 being in my TV stand, usually just have Fliqlo running on it, cant find a use for it.. Open to suggestions :) (It has Ethernet from my PMG5, and airport extreme but no service)

I've got 3, I only have one setup being used at the moment. First one is a blueberry iMac G3 350MHz which is currently sitting in the closet. Second is a iMac G4 700MHz which is sitting pretty on a table but desperately needs more RAM. Last is a snow iMac G3 600MHz. This one is the one being used at the moment. Such a sweet machine the iMac G3 is!
