I'm using a modified cube interface after having tried all of Julius Eckert's interfaces. :apple:

I wish it could search for documents like in Tiger :(
You can.

Go to the quicksilver preference pane and navigate to catalog. Go to custom, click the plus symbol on the bottom, and add whichever folder you would like to scan. After that's done a drawer should slide out letting you select how deep to scan. Be careful as this can slow down your response time with a lot of files. :apple:

I thought it was part of the standard package now. You have the most up-to-date version?

I forgot how to bring up QS. What keys do you press?
I forget the default but you can find out by starting QS from the Applications folder then open its Preferences and in the Command window see the HotKey Activation settings. You can change it if you want. Mine's Control-Space Bar and Spotlight is Apple-Space.

For those quicksilver pros, how can I transfer my quicksilver settings from my Mac Pro to my MacBook?

Thank you for inspiring me to use this program love it

I would think you move Quicksilver's preference file from Mac Pro to your macbook. I'm not entirely sure though. Worth a try.

I'm not a big fan of the shiny gear icon. I replaced the defaultaction.icns file with the arrow icon used in Leopard stacks. (I know it's a minor beef, but still...)

EDIT: Found it, sorry.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but dennisb, where did you find the leopard stack icon? I've poked around a a lot in the System Library but can't seem to find it.

Thanks in advance,

Joseph

Because other posted it too...

can't set different colors

Here's mine
Image

I like the minimal version up on top by the menubar ... And it matches spotlight :) .

I been able to install the plugin but I can't figure out how to set different colors on my top bar and list bar. As you can see both mine are blue. How did you do it?

Sorry to dredge up an old thread but this is the coolest thing I've seen today.

That gear icon had always kept me away because it never conveyed what the action was. To me it said "settings." Now I can use QuickSilver without it freaking bugging me. Thanks!

By the way, to anyone wondering how to do this, the file is in the Dock.app in /System/Library/Core Services/ Search for it in coverflow view and you'll find it. Make a copy and rename the png to defaultAction.icns (no need to convert it to an icon) and drag to QuickSilver (right click > Show Package Contents) /Contents/Resources/. Then restart QuickSilver.

Now all someone needs to do is make a Lion QuickLook interface:

By the way, recently QS keeps changing to Browsing mode and I have to keep escaping or starting from scratch. Anyone know how to stop it doing that?
