i can haz? You should get a rack or something ;)

btw, what are all the servers running and doing??
The second one is doing nothing and is off, the other is running win 2k server and is a domain controller / file server / DNS+DHCP / whatever else we want it to do, it's an AMD PII copy and we are looking to replace it soon. The other one is going to be a proxy server when we are done with it but the VPN does not work through it (to mom/dad's workplaces not our house)

I'd love to replace it with an xServe but this is a PC house, I'm the Mac guy here.

I take it you caught that he said Win2k Server -as in the actual OS- not a 'server' running desktop win2k?

ahem,
The second one is doing nothing and is off, the other is running win 2k server and is a domain controller / file server / DNS+DHCP / whatever else we want it to do

Does that say "the other is running win 2k server "? I'm quite sure it does. And no desktop version of windows can do domain controller/file sharing/DNS-DHCP, etc. Therefore its a server os. I'm just laughing at the fact that its a "server" running windows. Sorry but as far as servers go IMO, *nix > windows

haaha.
you got to see my home made metronome stand, so ghetto.
garden drain, pipe adapters, and broken sticks.
hey, its work place related.

I love your Metronome stand! Very classy indeed... and you have money left over for more Apple gear and/or Cymbals, etc. or whatever your workspace needs.

meh, a server running windows just isnt a server imo. Windows has so many vulnerabilities rather than *nix,

Yeah but you gotta remember how many people use Windows domains to manage users, run Exchange Server, IIS, etc.

Lots of places actually use Source Safe (their version control software), utter garbage!

That's your dorm??? So neat... so tidy... Somebody's mother did a great job! She should be proud.

I am a neat freak and really compulsive with being clean and tidy. Needless to say, thanks a lot for the comment...that makes me feel good!
