a profane existence
It's one of those old writing desks with a closing top. It can't close anymore so I have it propped up. On it is my Powerbook G4 sitting on a history book. I've got my toys on top and my hard drives and cables to the right. Oh, and the mouse/mouse pad are on a book that is supported by a drawer.

I'll get an updated pic over this work weekend...

*and yes, there is part of the picture that is blurred, for safety/security reasons*

It would be easier to just close your stuff down on the computer! I thought the security was to do with which deodorant you were using! Lynx I think:D

Honestly as of late, that's what my messy work environment looks like. lol, not much more on the desk than what I have on there when I clean it up for the setup pic thread.

Once class starts up again I'm sure it'll be a mess of papers and crap as usual.

lol but that would be too easy! Besides, who wants to look at that age old XP wallpaper? :p The blurred out computer screen is just a spreadsheet with all of the employees that are on duty, hence being blurred.

This was one of my work areas a while ago. I still have nightmares from all the iMacs.

Later on, even more joined the pile. Even with all of these, there was still another full rolling cart like the one above in another storage room.

Looks a lot like the place I work at on campus. The computer carts coming in never end!

haha, lemme guess, some kinda uni surplus department or something? there's been a nearly endless supply of white intel iMacs in my uni's surplus store lately.

Actually right now no white iMacs, but a bunch of core 2 metal ones with black backs.

Correct, these were from old labs that we recently upgraded (new mac minis, soooo much easier to store). Some were loaned to students, the rest were sent to surplus.

Unfortunately, a lot of them had logic board failures (i'd say about 13) causing artifacts on the screen. Had to e-waste those after removing the hard drives.

Love this layout, very sweet indeed. If I were to re-do my office, this is what I would set it up like. Very nice.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I still have to do something with the desk on the curved wall because I'm losing a lot of space, but it works fairly well for now.
