As it happens, twietee, so have I - (in fact, mine are very similar to the second frame in the pictures posted by phiberglass) but they are the frames for my normal, everyday glasses, not my prescription sun glasses.

Well, as it happens, so have I - that's what I expressed inadequately by saying 'regular' - I'll blame google translator ;). I have the top one though and am very happy with them. Initially, I searched for some Marcello Mastroianni glasses, and they came closest (from those available). I do hope those hipsters move along soon to avoid unnecessary resemblances. :D

Granted, yours are just as beautiful.

Thanks, and yours are very elegant, too.

Actually, I saw them in an optician's in Gamla Stam in Stockholm, where I took a holiday in the summer of 2010. I had gone in to a buy a bottle of lens cleaning fluid - having forgotten to pack mine - and spotted these frames. At the time, I had never heard of Oliver People's - I just liked the look of the frames, classic, elegant, yet understated.

Subsequently, I asked my Swedish host - a friend and former colleague - to accompany me for a further examination of the frames, (as I always like a second opinion when thinking about frames - given that you end up wearing them for at least a few years) and he approved.

The Swedish optician insisted on conducting a full eye examination (which was very thorough, and I was most impressed at how comprehensive an eye test they could conduct in a language - English - that was not their first language). I required a slight lens adjustment, and they sent me my new specs by registered post to my home address a fortnight later.

these I have had for about 4 years now (got them in Malta)

Now that I've had my PRK surgery, I can finally start buying regular sunglasses. They gave me a cheap pair after the surgery, but I felt I could use a better pair. So I picked these up, the new Oakley Antix with polarized lenses. Got a pretty damn good deal on them.

But I'm looking at these Mykita's for the upcoming summer. I want so desperately to hold on to the €300+ but I'm in love..
