Awesome!! Love it!!

There was a time when 46" was enough. Bizarre how quick you get used to proportions!

I bought a 55" plasma 2 years ago for my setup and I quickly came to the same realization that you can never have a TV that's too big. Go for the biggest you can afford and never have any regrets down the road. My next tv (probably when 4K is affordable) will be in the 70" range very likely.

I need to be able to carry my TV by myself without breaking my back. As long as the TVs get lighter I will go bigger. Right now I have a 40" Samsung with a narrow screen. I don't think it weights over 35lbs. My next TV will be about a 50", very flat, 3D and under 1k price. I guess in another year :D

  • Samsung LE40A656
  • PS3 slim (inside the tv stand)
  • Clint DC1 TV reciever (also hidden inside)
  • Samsung DVD-1080P8 (also inside)
  • Logitech Z-640 sound system, sub is to the left of the tv
  • Small desktop media center (just visible to the right of the tv stand)
    • Windows 8 x64
    • 2.6GHz dualcore
    • 4GB RAM
    • nVidia 8400GS, passive w. HDMI output
    • 3.5TB disk space

The media center also serves as our central backup unit for our laptops etc. in the household.

Looking to upgrade to the 7-series 55" Samsung later this year, along with the upcoming PS4. It's funny how small 40" seems today.

Loving your living room! Where did you buy your couches?

Thanks! The couches are old Jori couches my parents bought 11 years ago and are now mine :) Jori is a Belgian brand of furniture with pretty good quality, as the couches have barely aged over these 11 years!

I know, I remember just a few years ago I was thinking a 42" would be too big so I got the 40". Now I'm thinking I can handle a 47-50" TV in the room.

Is that a concrete table the tv is on?
It's 3" thick blue limestone actually. Aesthetically a great material but very prone to stains and other stuff. So great for putting a TV on top of it, but don't use it in the kitchen! Learned the hard way ;)

Nice setup. Where did you get that clock?
Thanks, but I have absolutely no idea, sorry! Got it as a housewarming-gift three years ago and it's brand-less, so probably very cheap :D

Post your home or bedroom Tv setup! includ everything thats around your tv too i.e gaming consoles, dvd/blu-ray players and so on :D
Do it!

Mine:
Sony 32" Bravia
new PS3 Slim :D
Pioneer Dvd Player and TimeWarner HD box.
Dusty Ikea something..

Here's my latest setup. Components sit in the bottom right shelf, not a wire in site. LCR Speakers are Definitive UIW RCS III, UIWRSS II's for rears, and a Polk psw 111 sub (soon to be a Definitive supercube). Running of an old Denon 3803 i've had since 2003, hoping to upgrade next year. Recently upgraded to a Denon AVR-X4200 receiver and the TV is a 60" LG lb7100 that sits in a custom inset mount. I've got an attic antenna, Apple TV 4th gen, Sony 4k up-scaling blu-ray player, and an xbone for sources.
