Just wondering why so much equipment in a bedroom? I hesitated putting a 32" in mine and it is a decent size room but it is nice to watch occasionally. I prefer large TV's and theatre equipment in the rest of my house and keeping the bedroom a peaceful escape.

Unfortunately i had to move back in with my parents while i save up for a deposit for a house. Its too hard to pay 300+ for rent and save up for a decent deposit. I will set it all up in a theater room when i get my own house.

Still in the middle of some major renovation but took the time over this weekend to set up my office system:

That is one tiny window in that picture. Usually windows that small are found in bathrooms up high. I was thinking it was in a basement, but it looks like there are large curtains off to the right and the high ceilings. Is there a reason behind it being there or why it's small? Curiosity has gotten the best of me.

I'm not an architect, but I'm assuming it is for aesthetics and to let in more natural light.

Yes, it is a bit high, but I also have the same signal running into the ASUS display hanging off the side of the desk. The office chair reclines like a lounger, so I usually push it back, put my feet up on the desk and recline if I am watching it. It tilts down, so that helps. When I am working at the desk, I use the ASUS instead.

I prefer having my TV lower than most mantles, but I see how mounting it over the fireplace is the only option for some rooms.

Dude what do you do for a living?

----------

Image
CIMG2923.jpg

42" 1080p Samsung LCD
ION USB Turntable (I made the cover for it)
80 GB PS3
Sennheiser RS 130 Wireless Surround Sound Headphones
1 TB WD Elements drive
1.5 TB WD Elements drive
40 GB tv
1 TB DB Time Capsule
Swan M10 Speakers

My room is crazy small with 3 full-size doors and a double-window, so there's hardly any wall space. In reference to the above pics, my desk is on the wall to the left, my bed is on the wall opposite, and the window takes up the wall to the right. So, I have the 3-drawer MALM dresser under the tv with the BILLY bookcase holding the electronics.

I wish I could have the speakers centered and symmetrical under the tv, but this is the best setup I could come up with without building everything myself.

Do you use the Swans for the tv? How is that?

This is my 'man cave' if you can call it that. Im 17 and this room was a storgae room with tons of junk and i cleaned it out and bought a futon, new tv stand, and new fan and everything else ive had. It came together but its still a work in progress. Debating if i should get netflix or not for my tv.
--- im looking for some cool floor lamps and if you guys have any ideas about what would cool in it reply on here or hit me up. Im was thinking about doing it a movie theme with movie posters and other cool posters.

Well - now I am TV-less. My TV got hit by a marble tonight, and I am too broke to afford a new one right now. Maybe when I finish this last semester. Ugh.

Woooowww blown away by this setup, this is pretty awesome. Where are the boxes for the dvds, the games and everything else :D?

haha, thanks! Everything is stored in the white coffee table, it has 2 drawers...I keep games in one and my controller/headset/remote in the other. Movies are all streamed via the xbox.

Great setup....only thing I'd worry about - is that the light switch for the room on the wall just above that glass piece? I'd worry someone coming in when it's dark and "swinging low" trying to hit the light switch and taking the sculpture right off the shelf and into a million pieces.
The sculpture transforms into something much shorter in the dark.

That switch actually has no function, I believe it was meant for a fan/light combo if it was ever installed. I also live alone so no one is really poking around but me :)
