$40 for 1GB? How long ago did you get that- 3 years or something? I agree, we're being ripped off in comparison to other countries. My USB robot (which is also 1GB) cost $16 three months ago.

i got it at my Uni post office 2nd semester last year! total rip off but i really needed it for assignments.
They just had them on sale for $20 around here.. I almost grabbed one just because.

hey i have that one too! the 8 gig version. picked it up for 18 bucks
4GB Biometric Technology! Its also shock resistant, ive walked on it a few times by mistake and it doesn't even scratch!

Really fast, and setup in a Raid-0 (stripped) on a 4 port hub. I have 4 of these, and the fastest speed I could get out of them was a 53MB/s read, and 32MB/s on the write. Yes thats MegaBytes per second. Beat that.
