Oh yeah, Ultraman was the ****. You just had to look past the zipper in the back of the costume! :D

I get the sense that Ultraman/Manzinger was called Grandizer in North America ...

Man THAT show rocked for so many years until Robotech/Macross Zentreadi War debuted!

Who remembers " Shoot INNNNNNN" and that wild crazy chair spin for what seemed like 5mins to get from the tail rudder to the head?! LMAO!

I showed my son a few videos on youtube and just by physical habitual memory I went nuts like a kid high on a bowl of holloween candy and spun around in my chair LMAO! My son, 11, was laughing his head off!

"Shoooot, Innnnnn!" or "Orion Quest!"

:apple:

Is that a Miranda-class (e.g. Reliant from Wrath of Khan) or a Suyez-class (Bozeman from TNG:"Cause and Effect")?

It's the reliant from TWOK

Note-

USS Bozeman

Class: Soyuz-class
Registry: NCC-1941
Affiliation: Federation / Starfleet
Status: Active (2373)

... snips ...

Actually scratch ALL the above!

I'll take Gold Boa Goldman's YF-21 from Macross Plus!
that movie mini-series incidentally had a very wicked soundtrack! I actually liked this show better than the Zentreadi, Robotech Masters, and Invid shows before it.

I present the YF-21 with Vector Engine Thrusters (introduced 3yrs before the FA-21 fighter with 2 vector engines; a common theme for Macross mecha vs USA air-force technology).

.... snips ....

Although Gold's YF-21 was a good fighter, the Ghost's X-9 was better. Gold had to sacrifice himself in order to defeat it, otherwise he just couldn't keep up.

I remember that; that actually made the traditional and boring century's old "bizarre love triangle" (shakespeare) writing so much better! Self sacrifice to save the one's he loved and renewed a friendship!

God help us if the X-9 ever gets built. Also remember that movie Stealth (Jessica Biel, Jamie Foxx, & Josh Lucas), had a VERY similar ghost ship that had artificial intelligence?!! That was 2005, Macross Plus 1994!

Still we cannot fly the X-9 so YF-21 is still my vote ;)

You know what would be just frickin awesome? If people posting didn't assume we are all so nerdy as to know what ship(s) you've chosen without any other explanation. References FTW!

Ditto that. I'm not even sure of half the ships posted here. I have to Google search and match pictures to figure it out. Kind of tedious.

The YF-21 required heavy concentration on the job (so much that only Gold could pilot the dam thing). Also, remember it's a mind driven plane, and how many of those do we see?

However, an UAV like the X-9 is very possible. Main reason is, we already have UAVs flying all over the world in the US Air Force. True they are reconnoissance probes, but we are getting there.

:D:D

You don't get it...it's like a secret decoder ring :D

I am going with the OP...USS Relativity is cool...or a bigger version of the USS Defiant. I love how they are more "together" than the standard ST designs...I always thought it would be a giant pain trying to get from one corner of some nacelle out on a pylon to the opposite side of the ship.

Actually Grendizer is a totally separate show (but from same creator and is in the same universe so it's sorta a sequel). But yes, the chair spinning around a few extra times for no apparent reason was always amusing to me. Not old enough to have grown up with those shows but am a bit of a classic anime nerd.

I can't find a better pic but Muller's new ship, the "Parcival", from LOGH was pretty cool...

35km long ship - electric bill

^ LMAO! Dude I spilt my Brahma beer on my new Dell 1709FPS. lol.

I just saw the first 5 mins of BSG: The Plan and man that Cyclon basestar home ship is incredible!

I think my first spaceship love of design came from the original BSG series opening credits. But in the Plan just before the attack of the 12 colony's MAN! Those new Galactica's are SICK!

An Omega Class destroyer ... these things look mean.

JMS "borrowed" the design from '2010 - The year we made contact'. They look a lot like the Leonov.

I would love to find a site with great quality caps from the series, anything Omega that fits on 2560x1440
