Do you think if you installed an ssd in your mbp that it will be able to use this power nap function. I have a time capsule and this would be awesome to use with it.
Thats disheartening but oh well. Not like I needed it but it would have been a nice function.I'm on a mid 2010 mbp with ssd and there is no sign of power nap...
I have a Retina MBP, and there is no Power Nap functionality yet. I'm sure it's just because it's still in beta.
Are you using Lion or Mountain Lion? PowerNap is Mountain Lion specific.

Would this Power Nap thing not eat up more battery when turn on?
It ate just shy of 10% of my battery last night.
I must say, this is absolutely ridiculous to leave out for those of us who upgraded our MBP's to SSD. Usually I'm okay with Apple leaving features out for some devices, but to leave out 2011 and 2012 MBP's with SSD is outrageous.
