I got the prepaid iphone plan and I wanted to know to add prepaid phone card pin numbers on the iphone.

I got 100 African Beauty phone cards on ebay
for very cheap, but I do not know how to upload or save the pin numbers on the iphone.I thought it would be easy!
Please Help.

Yours Daniel Chege.

Daniel,

I believe the prepaid iPhone plans are only available with "Pick Your Plan". You must use a checking account or credit card to pull the monthly charge. The cards you've purchased are for loading prepaid funds to a "Pay As You Go" plan.

BTW.. beware of purchasing anything over the web from Africa. oh wait.. it's from Kansas? however, the word "Africa" on the item is enough to send me running.

edit: how did you think you could have loaded your iPhone with cards? hope you hadn't purchased your "iPhone" from the same dood.

hello. why would i lie.....i do not get any more messages or even text messages........if i can get video camea i would be glad to so you....

If you're telling the truth, please elaborate for the rest of us who you called, and how you managed to get it done. Tons of us prepaid GoPhone users are annoyed by this balance popup crap, and have called AT&T just like you claim you have, and have gotten nowhere.

Many people have asked you for specific instructions on how you managed to do it, but you seemed to ignore them, so here's a VERY clear request.

I have read somewhere that it can be done by ignoring ALL SMS completely.. was this how your reached your solution?

Thanks, hope this doesn't sound too harsh, just trying to get a straight answer.

Does this prepaid option still work or has it been blocked? I have no desire to get into another contract, still with Tmo for another year almost on 3 lines. :-/

So if you are on a prepay plan there is nothing to pay a month you just pay for the credit you put on your phone? Also kgarchar I get the same thing whenever I send a text on o2, its a bit annoying but its useful.

"I'm sure you can definitely do that. You will need to PAY them $29 prepaid voice plan +$19 iphone data plan. I think once your account has been created you cannot get the $29 back but the $19 data plan can probably be refunded to you.

So +$29 on top of iphone cost isn't too bad for its functionality no? I'd say it's pretty worth it. "

i heard no refunds for airtime/data.

and as for Edge, its only available on prepaid with the pick your plan iPhone and that's bec Edge is only incorporated into the specific iPhone prepaid data plan. the rest of the pyp prepaid phones are accessing internet differently, they dont use Edge.

and, if there is a way, i would sure like to know how to turn those balance notifications off!

anyone been getting the dreaded messages for EDGE usage since the 1.0.2 update?

Ever since the update I only get the messages for phone calls and text messaging, which isn't so bad <knock on wood>.

It has been fixed by AT&T, not the 1.0.2 update. AT&T has even posted it on their forum. The balance popup will only appear if the last action (call, SMS) has taken money from your balance. Since the iPhone prepaid plan comes with unlimited data, you should not be getting this message anymore after using EDGE, which is great because now I can auto pull email every 15mins without having to worry about the green dismiss button!
