I just with they'd make the damned thing plastic like the 5c and really rid it of weight. Metal and glass are for skyscrapers, not phones. The Max iPhone is way too heavy.

Not a chance. I have a 15PM and have stuck with the biggest iPhone starting with the 6+. I’ve always used a case on my iPhones until March of this year, so size and weight has never been an issue for me. Battery life was important to me, but I carry a portable battery pack, so I’ll always have a charger. I’m not compromising my battery nor camera for a lighter phone that comes as a downgrade vs my current iPhone.

This will be a vanity device, same as when the Pro first came out.

Unlike the Pro however, I don't see much room for improvement and longevity. Maybe? Who even cares, it's just another phone at this point.

Nope. I don’t want to lose telephoto, ultra wide, and VRR. The battery life on my 15p isn’t great either imo so I wouldn’t want even worse

It surely won’t be vanity for me if I buy it. I think this is the ugliest batch of iPhones ever released (if they look as rumored). I’m excited because I think it’ll be the perfect size, falling between the pro and pro max.

I'll have to physically handle it to see, and know better exactly what the tradeoffs in battery life and camera quality would be. If it's truly light and thin to the point where it feels like a radically different device than my 15 Pro, then yeah, I could see doing it. On the other hand, I already feel the physical height and width of the the Pro are on the awkward side, so much of it comes down to the feel in the hand of the thing, to me.

Not for me... even with whatever magic they claim to put into the battery - it's not going to be enough. Pro for me.

I get the Pro Max every year but the Air does interest me but I’d want at least ProMotion and preferably MagSafe and FaceID. Thin and light for this year and then go for the foldable next year which would most likely be built on the same thin design.

Yes. When I watch videos on my phone I'm generally in a quiet environment with the volume at 2 to 4, so the single speaker would be fine. I mainly use the main camera when using my phone, otherwise a dedicated camera. With the Pro's going back to aluminium, I liked the stainless steel as it doesn't dent from the rare time I drop it.

Will have to see how the battery holds up, the 14 Pro endurance is more than enough for me, so if it can match it. In saying that I do also want the AOD and 120Hz, but they may not have it because the smaller battery. Hopefully there's still room for MagSafe.

If not, I'm just going to change battery and hold off another year.

The 15 Pro max was my first Iphone, and while I could have made due with a baseline 15, what put me over the edge was the pro motion display. I LOVE the cameras on my 15 pro max, but admittedly, I don't take enough pictures to justify it. With pro motion finally trickling down to the base model and being included in the Air, if I were to upgrade, I'd strongly consider it, but here are my issues with the Air

1) smaller battery is perhaps the biggest dealbreaker out of all the compromises with the Air. I'm not the heaviest phone user, but I don't want to deal with having to charge my phone everyday either.

2) while I don't take a ton of pictures the notion of an Iphone that's more expensive than a baseline phone, but has 1 less camera is insane. In my case going from 3 cameras on the 15 Pro Max setup to a single camera is far too big of a compromise.

I don't plan on upgrading anytime soon, and I plan to keep an eye on these particular Iphones but at least with this particular Iphone launching this year, the compromises are far too much. Hopefully they'll eventually move to Silicon Carbide battery, and make the camera system on the same level as the base Iphone. If those two things happen.......I'd strongly consider it when I upgrade in the future.
