The 15 Pro max was my first Iphone, and while I could have made due with a baseline 15, what put me over the edge was the pro motion display. I LOVE the cameras on my 15 pro max, but admittedly, I don't take enough pictures to justify it. With pro motion finally trickling down to the base model and being included in the Air, if I were to upgrade, I'd strongly consider it, but here are my issues with the Air
1) smaller battery is perhaps the biggest dealbreaker out of all the compromises with the Air. I'm not the heaviest phone user, but I don't want to deal with having to charge my phone everyday either.
2) while I don't take a ton of pictures the notion of an Iphone that's more expensive than a baseline phone, but has 1 less camera is insane. In my case going from 3 cameras on the 15 Pro Max setup to a single camera is far too big of a compromise.
I don't plan on upgrading anytime soon, and I plan to keep an eye on these particular Iphones but at least with this particular Iphone launching this year, the compromises are far too much. Hopefully they'll eventually move to Silicon Carbide battery, and make the camera system on the same level as the base Iphone. If those two things happen.......I'd strongly consider it when I upgrade in the future.
