Agreed. Being able to comfortably read text while the screen is scrolling; sounds silly, but feels like a game changer.

You're right, that does sound silly. lol. I'm going to have to see it for myself. Not convinced right now that it's such a big deal!

I agree. I was delighted with the screen's responsiveness. Can't wait to try to the pencil tonight.

I think the Apple Pencil the next few months is going to be the real winner next to the Promotion display. Mainly because of the reduce latency and how many more capabilities it can have with editing/notetaking/sketching and overall its versatility. It was great before and it's improved now more than ever.

I am looking forward to using the Pencil and getting more bang for my bucks with the iPP now. :D

The latency was one of the main reasons why I returned the 9.7" iPad Pro a couple of months ago. For my particular usage, it felt awkward for me. I was so impressed when I demoed the pencil on the new Pros at the store this morning, it was instant purchase. I knew I had to give the iPad Pro and pencil another go.

Just got the new iPad Pro and have to say the promotion screen makes the upgrade 100% worth it . It makes the screen look and feel amazing this is the best feature apple has added to the iPad in years in my opinion

I just got back from the Apple Store after trying the new iPad Pro 10.5" here's my review.

#1. It's NOT a Pro iPad without 120hz Promotion it's that amazing hands down.
#2. On full Brightness the 10.5" Pro makes my 9.7" Pro on full brightness look as if it's a Half brightness.
#3. It gives me a Headache after a short while With Text and Video moving side to side and scrolling at 120hz it gave me a headache Once I moved my head away.
#4. Apple Pencil speed going from 50ms milliseconds to 20ms is a game changer again no lag.
#5. Colors are equally as good 9.7" Pro vs 10.5" Pro
#6. Everything else feels the Same there's No better LTE, No WiF, or Bluetooth improvements.
#7. I still have 1 year of AppleCare left. On my 9.7" Pro that's value I can't throw away.
#8. Job requires Microsoft Office Apps and they are 100% Free on 9.7" Pro and Cost a Monthly fee on the 10.5" Pro with a Subscription. Not a fan of Subscription Apps
#9. 120hz Makes a huge difference even for YouTube Videos they look crystal clear has to been seen in person.
#10. Holding out hope Apple runs dry on 9.7" Pro models and has to give out 10.5" Replacements.

As they have been known to do.

And since the 9.7" Pro was a very short lived model and discontinued stock is no doubt tight. Vs the 10.5" SIze which will live on for many years.

Reference #10. I understand where you're coming from regarding the 9.7 was only manufactured for approximately a year. However, I can tell you, for the time being, Apple will not replace the 9.7 with a 10.5 iPad. They have warranty devices for that unit and that unit only.

The pencil is a marked improvement with the .2s latency. Got the 10.5 today and the Pencil is the first thing I tried.

I had the original 12.9 IPP and the pencil really had an annoying lag to it where you felt you were unsure if you were drawing the line you intended or not. It works with ProCreate very well. It seems that it works better with ProCreate now as there feels to be a much better pressure sensitivity and tilt slope. I feel like i can control my shading much better now and also brush/pencil thickness in relation to how much I tilt the Pencil.

Also, digitally writing is MUCH better with instantaneous feedback from the pencil.

I've started another thread about this point.

Were you able to confirm the subscription is required by your use instore? Or have you made that assumption due to the increase in screen size?

Pencil feels so much more responsive, and it was already super responsive on the first pro. Now when sketching lines quickly the screen keeps up with the pen, there is no perceptible drag between them.

Again appreciate your feedback on the pencil and new iPP

I had no idea what kind of difference ProMotion makes...with double the storage, Promotion, speed increase etc..it is was an absolute no brainer to update. Very happy with the purchases.

I did not pay much attention to this announcement during the keynote and dismissed the hype there after. However even I must admit that the difference is dramatic.
