Yes. I believe it's been stated at least once already.

Had it, liked it, took it off because of low memory issues, decided to disable winterboard and give it a shot again... very, very nice and minimal hit to the battery.

I think I may stay. Plus my phone feels much less sluggish without winterboard (3g here).

I'm loving Proswitcher but have this one minor issue where the Mail card loses its image after a time. In otherwords, the card goes blank entirely. Still works though. Any solutions?

I have Exchange mail, and am also using Intelliscreen, which accesses mail.

I have the same issue with mail (I have Intelliscreen as well but it's disabled right now since I'm using LockInfo).

I also have an issue where Pro Switcher will pop up with just a single tap of the status bar even though I have it set to activate only when I double-tap the status bar.

i have seen the blank card appear right after respring. that happens because the entire mail app has probably not been loaded into RAM yet. click on the mail icon - once it is loaded in RAM Proswitched newer shows a blank card

I hope there is a way that you could choose which "Default" apple apps you want to show in the card view. While i wouldn't want to see Phone, i would love to see safari in the card view.

i sent the developer an email, maybe he could add this wonderful feature. love this app!

Proswitcher is awesome but I had some problems with it. First it would cause my iPhone to freeze from time to time when swiping a program up to close it. Also, it would drain my battery, had a dead iPhone in 5 hours and once I uninstalled it, it was fine.

For me it's not just after respring. Generally the mail card is missing no matter how long I've been using my phone since a restart or how many times I've opened the mail app.

question. If i keep open my browser window, and sms window in the card view, will that have an effect on my battery? I know if i leave say tweetie and facebook open it will, because of reloading, but would the stock apple apps have an effect?

there is no need to leave your sms app backgrounded as it will provide no benefit. safari is sometimes backgrounded by the phone itself.. the reason was given earlier in this thread, but i forgot :( i always close safari if it is backgrounded just so i can open it when i really need it.

Why? biteSMS certainly starts a lot faster when I background it.

im sure it starts a lot faster.. what i meant to say was there is no point in backgrounding the sms app because whether its open or closed you will of course receive your texts in the same manner, sorry about the confusion

I'd be curious to find out how much of an impact backgrounding typical apps really has on battery life. Especially simple apps like Messages, and perhaps Calendar.

Obviously on a 3G, RAM is as big of an issue as battery, but on a 3GS will backgrounding a few often-used apps have much of an impact on battery? Anyone care to run a scientific test?

I realize these apps take little time to open, but now with ProSwitcher there is a certain convenience to having the cards there ready to flip to.

Has anybody experienced apps staying open? I usually can't use ProSwitcher to close them I have to use the other background app that starts with a "k" to shut down the app. I don't know which one it could be ProSwitcher stops responding when the app is frozen open. This happens with SMS/MMS and phone for the most part.

hi, couple of questions, will appreciate if someone can help

i downloaded proswitcher from cydia today, and it also downloaded backgrounder with it... is this how it is supposed to be?

after downloading proswitcher, youtube, wifi, pushed stopped working, so i had to reset network settings and apply pushfix couple of times, then it started working... has anyone else experienced these issues?

are there any issues with proswitcher that i should be aware of?

tia.

Not sure if this has been discussed before but when switching between apps, A. If you double tap the card on either side of the screen it will take you to the first or last app. B. If you hold either card it will cycle through the apps. Both are very useful and something I found out tonight!

you only need backgrounder to be installed, you can set backgrounder up to allow proswitcher to do the backgrounding itself. free up that button activation for you.

for me i have overboard show up when clicking the home button and holding down the home button backgrounds the apps with proswitcher.

Hey Nick! I may try it set up that way. I've currently got the on press on home at springboard to bring up PS, and double tap or hold at top of screen for Overboard. I guess there are lots of combinations!

Single Press from Within Application Working?

One thing I would like to be able to do is go to ProSwitcher from within an application. So far, no matter how I set up LibActivator, I can't get the single press at Home button to initiate PS when I'm within an application. It is definitely one of the settings listed in the Activator settings.

Has anyone else been able to get this to work? Currently I'm using shake to get to PS from within an application, but I'd prefer the button. Some day I may accidentally throw my phone across the room!
