I would disagree Glass Screen Protectors are a Must on the iPad. I recently dropped my iPad Air 2 and it had a Glass Screen Protector and it looks like it saved the screen so for me personally it is a must.
Completely true and hilarious, The screen protector, glass, whatever you wanna call it will dim the screen and will reduce it's brightness less and lesser, I have a question for you please answer me Did you get a screen protector for your TV? Don't laugh.
It's all useless and waste of money, Instead, you should keep holding your device safe Always be aware to protect its screen with ASK or Leather Sleeve. With all apple products, Have you ever seen there is not any Apple screen protector? Do you think Apple could not produce one?
We buy Pro's for it's beautiful screen not to hold it in order to sell it next year, You should enjoy it.
I've never used any screen protector on my iDevices since iPhone 3GS. And never had any scratch problem csuse all the screens have made from the best quality, It's not ****** and plastic Samsung or chinese.

That is true. in-fact its my first iPad that I have dropped and also it was in a Logitech keyboard case that did not have good protection. As you say a screen protector is not a must but if ones does drop their iPads or use their iPads outside in areas where it could get damaged and they don't buy apple care + then it could be worth the few $$.It's in your situation, it depends if it's a must for the individual. In your case, you dropped your iPad and you are claiming the screen protector saved it. That very well may be, but not everybody is in that situation or needs a screen protector. I have never used a screen protector my iPad and nor have the need currently. But, I also understand everyone has different preferences. But I don't think a must applies to everyone either.
My trick has always been to Scotch tape the glass protector on to the device first, making sure that it's perfectly centered and doesn't have any room to wiggle around while applying--I usually try to do this before I even take the wrapping off of the device after unboxing it. Once I'm sure it won't move, I take the plastic wrapping off and plop the protector right into place. This leaves almost no time for dust or lint to settle underneath the protector. Then I work the bubbles out with my finger or with a credit card wrapped in a microfiber cloth. The bubbles are harder to get out with a glass protector than they are with a plastic film, but they will come out eventually.i can barely get it on an iPhone, i tried putting one on an iPad before and due to the size of the screen it was impossible for me to get it on without leaving bubbles behind

Try the Anker Glass Screen Protectors they are easy to install. They come with extra tape to make it like a door hinge, so its easy to install. http://amzn.to/2tOsdQs or http://amzn.to/2tO8S1M
I just put one on my brand new iPad 10.5. I had it on for about 2 days before the display on the iPad died. Initially I thought that the iOS 11 beta screwed things up, but the display doesn't work even with 10.3.2 reinstalled.
So my iPad is being replaced tomorrow. The Anker is nice, inexpensive and easy to apply. But I didn't like the feel when using my Apple Pencil. I'm going to try one of the Paperlike protectors as soon as they become available.

I’ve always used an otterbox for my earlier iPads and wanted to try something different this time so I splurged on a PadandQuill Oxford case that has yet to arrive.
What otterbox model did you use? I am considering getting one too from Amazon
[doublepost=1500000221][/doublepost]And yes, looks like I will still go with an aftermarket matte screen protector; I find it harder to play without a screen protector
I’ve always used a Defender. I liked it because I could throw my iPad I’m my soft briefcase with the screen protector on it and know it would be five. It is bulky. The company, which also owns Lifeproof, is great and readily replaces the cases if anything ever goes wrong, even years later! I’m still considering getting a new Defender, or maybe a Lifeproof Nuud, which is more expensive and requires you to buy the screen protector as an accessory.
I'm putting one on because the new iPad Pro screen seems to pick up finger prints really easily which is much harder to clean off.
Have they changed the oleophobic coating or is it to do with the anti reflective screen? All my precious iOS devices were more fingerprint resistant and much easier to clean.
I noticed my IPP is a fingerprint magnate. Since my prior iPad is a 2nd gen Mini, I figured that was normal for all current iPads.I am hearing this way too often. is this really the case ? Does the 10.5" iPP accumulates finger prints much more than any other previous iPad's ?

Yes they do. I did some searching and found people mentioning since the first gen iPad Pros.
So you are saying the earlier 9.7" iPad Pro also had the same problem ?
matt sp? then it defeats the purpose of retina screenMaybe don't get a glass screen protector, but a matte one instead? I would assume the matte one would dull colors a little though.
Personally I just don't use a screen protector given the compromises it usually comes with. The glass ones in particular add significant weight to the iPad.
