I have a question for you please answer me Did you get a screen protector for your TV? Don't laugh.

I'm not sure how you watch TV, but in my house we don't drag our fingers or a stylus across our tv constantly. That pretty much eliminates the need for scratch prevention measures such as a screen protector.

I've yet to put a cover on any iPad screen and have never gotten a scratch.

However, I'm thinking of getting this one:

Not for protection but because it would add dome friction for the Pencil.

That's what I have. It does add a very nice feel and has the added benefit of being anti-glare (which was the primary reason I bought it in the first place). PSA: It's not measured to be case fit, so you have to be careful that your case doesn't lift the edges of the film away from the screen when they make contact. I've been in touch with the creator of PaperLike about this. I'm not sure if there's a plan to design a case fit version or not.

As I already explained earlier--Pencil usage on a clean screen caused some scratches on my 9.7" iPad Pro. I realize that it's difficult to scratch the screen when using the iPad in a clean, sand/dust free environment, but there is abrasive silicate in the air all over the place, and there have been all kinds of reports of abrasive substances getting caught in between that Apple Pencil nib and iPad screen. With enough pressure, those particles will put scratches in the screen, and that's exactly what I believe happened to my iPad.

I have never used my iPads with a screen protector in the past. Only when this happened with my Pencil did I start using one. I keep my iPad clean and store it in a clean environment. I never use it near any sand or in rugged conditions. Despite all that, scratches can occur.

That makes sense. Without pencil use I would say depreciation is so bad you might as well risk it with only Smart Cover.
