Recently after an iOS update, my Qardio app was logged out. I was, fortunately, able to log in so to-date I have been able to use my QardioArm.
@iSkippy , I agree with you about dumb electronics. At the very least, QardioArm should have a display to show what it has measured and a button to activate measuring. This way, even if the company goes belly up (which looks like it has) you can still use the device and would only need to manually enter the data to your tracking software.
Like you, I really like the portable factor of QardioArm. I have a very similar device made by Withings called the BPM Connect. It's just a little bit larger, but it has a display and has a button to active measurement. It connects via bluetooth or Wifi to upload data to the Withings server/app, but also if that service goes away, the device itself is still useful.
