How will I get more performance in FCPX with a Radeon VII or with a Radeon VII + 580x? I Edit 4k videos. Thanks!

Weird that you may install on Windows 10 either Apple Boot Camp Software Graphics Drivers for 580X or AMD Radeon™ VII Drivers & Support for VII. One conflicts with each over.
Perhaps because of Bootcamp drivers are with "VII like" Vega II driver.

For dual GPU and editing, switch to Resolve Studio.
I run a Pro 5.1 with both rx5700XT and RX580; Pcie usb3.2 and BMD Pcie 4k minimonitor and this is really powerful, even on a old 2009 MacPro !
Based on 2 Raid arrays I can read 4 streams of slog3 4k on a 4k timeline without any proxy or optimized media.

Interesting! Would you mind sharing some insights on your cMP running 2 GPUs? Did you do Pixlas mod or are you using an external PSU for one GPU? In addition to Resolve Studio, do you use other apps that take advantage of the dual GPU setup? I still have my RX580 and debating whether to sell it or install as 2nd GPU along my recently installed RX5700. Thanks!

It will be difficult to take photos as the MP is inside a server cabinet.
But yes I use Pcie riser (the cooler master one) to place on top of the MP the 5700XT (it takes 3 slots room as it is very large) and yes I use an additional PSU (850W Gold) to power the rx580 and the 5700XT.
Pcie1 is rx580 with 2 monitors one 2k and another 4k
Pcie2 is for 5700xt nothing plugged on it
Pcie3 is for the usb 3.2 board (I use an external usb 3.1 24 To raid system)
Pcie4 is for BMD decklink 4k minimonitor
system is on SSD, 2*HD 6TO raid 0 for the cache and 3*HD 8TO raid 0 for the media (all internal)
It is a dedicated editing station, so I sometime also use FCP and Compressor and Motion.
I have monitored that those 3 apps use the 2 GPUs, not al the time, but yes the 2 are used.
I did really many tests, and this is the fastest configuration I found. By the way the rx580 is a real good gpu, I have one in a Razer Core for my macbook Pro as mobile editing station.

lol ! Of course the cpu room is closed by a plastic sheet to maintain fans air pressure and of course the 5700xt is "isolated" with foam pieces and the server cabinet is closed. Really simple to do, the hardest part is to "dremelize" the MTB side of the riser's connector to free the rx580 fans and to add a loop in the external PSU connector to power on without MTB. As you can see I add a led colored (red) fan just in front of the external PSU on the top, il adds air pressure in front of it and reminds me it is powered-on with the red light. Inside the server cabinet, it is a bit useful !
Very simple.
I did this way because of the servers cabinet I use. If it was a "desktop" configuration, I would have passed the wires differently in a more "clean" manner.

New upgrades scheduled :2 internal 2To ssd raid 0 for the DaVinci cache (instead of 2x6To HD)
A new USB 3.1 4x6TO external tower (RAID 0)
all GPU change for dual 6800XT (need more digging for now...)
