I dunno, I’ll wait and see before I offer my opinion but that seems to big
I guess probably no bigger than many 17" gaming laptops before the current minimal bezel trend kicked in a couple of years ago - so yeah certainly a desk bound machine that's portable in a pinch, but not unprecedented. Possibly a good alternative to a desktop or AIO if you prefer the laptop form factor, particularly as the mobile GPUs aren't meant to be too far behind the desktop ones again for this generation from what I've seen!

Maybe, and this is why I'm holding off on my opinion until we see it, but still 18" is not a small display size. On one hand, would my almost 60 year old eyes love a large display like that, oh no question, but would my back enjoy lugging that monstrosity around an airport - I don't think so

Food for thought, Razer's current laptop line ups are priced from 2,800 to 3,800 dollars. I would expect the 18" laptop to be near the 4,000 dollar mark and that's just crazy imo

Yep basically a compact desktop without the cable spaghetti that you can move between desks without shutting down, not something people are going to be travelling extensively with, but something that can be taken when the need arises. With the display, 18" might just be able to do 4K justice in a way smaller displays don't, having true HDR ability via OLED or miniLED would look great as well. The leaked model has an i9-13900HX and 32GB RAM (no word on which graphics card, but I would guess the 4080 is a given) so should even be able to play in 4K at reasonable settings/ frame rates. All that will definitely be a bit rich for my more modest needs, but if other manufacturers like HP and Dell eventually bring their own 18" devices to market in the OMEN/ G series I'd certainly consider replacing my existing 17" with a similarly sized 18".

For fun the 17" MBP was 15.47" x 10.51" at about 6.5lbs, that would just about accommodate an 18.0" panel at 16:10 - 15.26" x 9.54". Hopefully they could now shave a bit of weight off that as well!

Here's a YT from Dave2D regarding the RTX4090 in laptops. While not a Razer specific topic, they'll be one of the first to come out with it. He mentions a couple of things.

He seems wicked excited, man i don't think I ever saw him that animated before :) First he seems to imply that the mobile version of the mobile RTX 4090 will be on par with the RTX 3090 - desktop. Crazy. Second point and goes along with my concerns (specifically with Razer). You're going to need to sell a kidney on the black market to afford one of these bad boys
