I ordered on a monday, at 2-3 weeks estimate, original estimate was
SHIPS MAY 9th
DELIVERS MAY 11th
but two days after my order, the quotes went down to 1-2 weeks, and my estimate got bumped up to the earlier one I posted, I guess cause I bought the faster shipping.
 
Mine is going to show up on Monday... Shipped two days ago, it is already "waiting in a warehouse"...

My mom's went FedEX, but mine is UPS? any reason for 2 different carriers and why one over the other?

And I bought a silicone backing for mine, it'll work with my new pink smart cover I just bought. And I'm getting the invisashield over the screen too. I like their screen protectors.

I seem to recall earlier in the thread that Apple wasn't differentiating shipping times, if you called. Also, I tried looking for shipment methods and don't recall seeing anything. *shrug*

My hope is the actual ship date and delivery date are ahead of estimates. Because software development has never given me the opposite lesson.
 
Finally, it's almost here (actually sitting in a warehouse over the weekend). I am promised delivery by 10:30 am Monday. Yeah! :D
 
I ordered a black 16gb wifi on 4/25 and have a ship date of 5/5 and delivery date of 5/6. I'm in the north east, MA specifically, not sure if that makes a difference.

I already have a first gen iPad, this one's going to be for my husbands birthday. He loves mine, and to be honest I just want him to keep his grubby mitts off it.

Mine went PREPARED FOR SHIPMENT some point today between, 10am EST and 2pm EST today! Yay!

Hope it ships by (MAY 2nd)monday, which will be shipping and delivery two days earlier than scheduled, so I'll have it by wednesday.

im furious! i ordered a black 16gb wifi on 4/20 5 days b4 u and and my ship date is 5/11 and del date 5/17! :eek:
 
ordered - Apr 10, shipped - Apr 28, arrives - May 02 (Monday morning) sitting in a warehouse 20min from my home for the weekend.

We shall all get them sooner or later.

If you can spare, try getting the 12,00 dollar expedited shipping and see if and where that puts you. seems like what the other dude did.

Although your ship date sounds about right, as mine was 5/9(2 before you) for a 4/18(also 2 before) order, before it got bumped up since they shortened the wait by a week two days after my order was placed, my ship date moved up 5 days.

I think once it's prepared for shipment you're doomed, it's too late to change the shipment method/speed.

I opted for the free shipping since I don't need it until the last week in June. I have no idea why my ship/delivery dates would be earlier than someone who ordered days before me.
I'm trying to figure out how they plan on getting it to me the day after they ship it.

Damn. My delivery date went up from May 6th to May 10th. I ordered it April 21st.

I knew it being delivered in only 1 day was too good to be true.

Yep same here! Ordered April 22 and delivery went from May 7 to May 10. I called Apple to update to Express shipping and after forever on the phone, they upgraded to express for free. After this, my delivery date is still May 10...so it was a waste of time.

BTW, anyone ordered after April 18 get Processing shipment???
