Severe weather in Phoenix?

OK I understand patience is a virtue I may lack at times but I wasn't too worked up when my iPad sat in China for 3 days, Alaska for 26 hours or bypassed my home in Phoenix to go to KY first.

However, the latest that it is in Phoenix as of 4:25 AM but delayed due to "Adverse weather condition"

It is 70 degrees and sunny!?!?!?!?

Already 2 days late..... I HATE UPS

urghhhh it should've been in my greedy hands already, but I came home to FedEx's "we're sorry we missed you" tag. urgghhhhh! it's an A.M. delivery and everyone was out to class. But oh well fedex did a really good job with everything, considering it only took them 2 days to get the ipad from china to my place. I'm gonna pick it up later this evening and play with the ipad the whole night and hope that I won't mess up my exam tmrw :D
 
Finally got it shipped! I guess I am lucky because it got shipped by FedEx. My estmated delivery is May 3rd by 4:30.

Now I only have to be anal and check every hour for about 5 more days...

iPad 2

I live in Manhattan. I ordered a 16 GB, Black, Wi-Fi on 4/12. My ship date is 5/3. Originally, my delivery date was 5/4, but yesterday it changed to 5/6 :cool:. I'm thinking if it doesn't ship by 5/6, I may just cancel the order. That's the day they become available in China (Wi-Fi) and the jig is up for the scalpers here in the city who are buying them up on a daily basis. Now I'm waiting for "Not Yet Shipped" to change to "Prepared for Shipping". :)

UPS didn't even knock

God**** UPS man didn't even knock. Thought no one was home cause the car was gone and just left a missed delivery note. I definitely heard his truck. The dog didn't even bark so I know he didn't knock. Now after trying to get ahold of someone at UPS, I had to leave two different phone numbers so they could call me back to arrange a pickup at the UPS center. Called them hours later to find out they claimed they called and left a message. Never received a call or a message on either phone number. UPS is so full of it.* If ur iPad is coming by UPS, make sure you get it the first time or your boned!

I don't know if it is normal, but mine has been stating "Prepared for Shipment" since last week. Mine was suppose to arrive today but got bumped to next week. At least I now have a tracking# and know where it is at :)

We actually have a cool UPS driver...not worried here :)
 
It's kind of funny---I got my UPS box here at work on Monday morning (I'm in the loop in Chicago, so lots of business-y suit and tie types walking around). I was the only one I saw that day with the tell-tale iPad 2 sized UPS box.

The next day (Tuesday) walking from work to the train station, I saw at least 5 people with the same sized box I had on Monday. I can't assume they were all iPads, but I bet they were.

I think huge chunks of these orders are all going out at once. You'll get yours. Be patient.

Posting from my iPad now! It came 2:30 today, just as scheduled, and it's everything I expected and more! Thanks for all the help, and easing my anxious nerves! It was definitely worth the wait!

We're all reasonably intelligent people. Can anyone figure out Apple shipping? I would think they ship by the truck or pallet. But they're making enough iPads right now that you should never need to wait too long for a truck to leave the factory. At that point you should switch from "Prepared for shipment" to "Shipped" as soon as they scan it. And if they're making that many iPads a day, what's stopping them from buying a dedicated plane to ship them (and every other product) to the mainland?

Probably! Mine is going to my school in Pittsburgh so it's locked up till someone checks my ID. One more stop then off to Alaska. Hopefully the storms in the midwest will have died down by the time they get to Kentucky.
 
Mine shipped so fast, it's unbelievable. I got the email tues night around midnite and 48hrs later it's on a flight from Anchorage to me. This thing might be coming tomorrow. Huh cool : )

Ordered on April 11th. Got my shipment email today at 12:38am pacific time. Looks like UPS is delivering. I was hoping for FedEx just in case no one is home because they are cool with you picking up a missed package. At least it's on it's way.
 
I ordered a white 64 GB Wi-Fi iPad on April 8th (when there were 2-3 week shipping times). It shipped from Chengdu via UPS. I received it yesterday, April 28 -- just under three weeks.

Unfortunately it has some screen bleeding, maybe a little bit more than my first gen. iPad (which I sold), but it is not enough to make me want to exchange it. The rest of it, body, screen, home button all seem to be flawless.

You ordered the day before me. What were your Ship & Delivery dates? Do you know when your status changed to "Prepared for Shipment"?
