However, it missed its connection and will be spending another day in scenic Louisville, KY. Boo! My guess is the customs clearance (the import scan) and breaking the pallet took too long.

NB: No scans leaving Chengdu or in Hong Kong or Anchorage.

So, all wrapped up, delivery was rescheduled from 5/5 by 10:30 to 5/6 by 10:30. Which, going all the way back to the beginning of my order (placed 4/15), was what was originally stated by Apple before my order went PFS. So, when 2-3 weeks was the shipment schedule, my order should go placement to delivery in 21 days.

Was sent to my local depot, put on the truck and delivered about 10 minutes ago. Total time from order to delivery: An hour and 15 minutes short of three weeks.
 
Seriously UPS?! A stop in Korea! WTF. Make sure you guys make a stop in every Asian country and then to every continent before getting anywhere near North America. -_-

I ordered my 64GB 3G Black Ipad on April 25th,2011 and received an estimated shipping date of May 9th and estimated delivery by May 12th.

I received a shipment notification from Apple this morning stating that it was shipped!:) This was after about a 1 and a half days of my order being "Prepped for Shipment".

According to the email I received from Apple, it should be delivered here to North Carolina by May 12th (from May 11th) but according to UPS it is scheduled to be delivered by May 9th @ 10:30am.

Here's an update on my status. I ordered April 23. Looks like its got some bouncing around to do in Asia before it hits US soil. I'm guessing it'll be at my door Monday or Tuesday.

That's great! I just wish that mine would turn to prepared for shipment soon. It's been in "Not Yet Shipped" since the 25th. :( I'm starting to get worried. I ordered a 16GB Black WiFi Engraved.

Mine's definitely on the same plane as yours, cause it stopped in Korea last night too. I also received an email from apple stating that due to an "unexpected delay" my delivery date has been pushed back again. :mad:

I think you can add me to the flight as well and it looks like we left Korea. However, I am not sure if I believe it yet. As the tracking data for this iPad is a bit sketchy.

Well, it looks like my delivery time was changed again.

Original plan:
Ordered 4/25
Ships 5/9
Delivers 5/12

So I called to see if I could get expedited, which they did for me. That resulted in this new page:

GREAT! Except now it's changed again... back to the original.

Sigh.... this is going to be a long week.
 
Got my Black 3G WiFi 64GB at 930 this morning. Woooooootttttt!!!11!!! :D

Good luck everyone! I was terrified I'd wait a week after the radio silence, but UPS came good in the end and delivered it a week early :)

New to the forums been watching this thread ever since I placed my order for two iPads on Apr 16.

My weird thing Is they both shipped out the white one on Friday and black one on Sunday. I got the white one no problem on Tuesday. The black one has been in Epz, China since May 2 according to ups website with no movement. I finally called them today and they said it's in Korea waiting to leave. She told me they are having huge delays with shipping from apple because there are a large amount going out. Just don't understand why they couldn't ship them both out together.

Oh well was going to give my wife the white one but it's mine now she just has to wait for the black one.

Thanks for this major update. It is now clear that a bunch of our iPads are together in one batch. Mine too is black. I assume that mine is still in Korea and hasn't left yet, despite the last update being:

I apologize for harping on this, but I keep seeing people do this and it is driving me nuts. You don't need to add a "s" to mine. It already shows possession.
