So the only way to be able to use my own background is to install the Widget-only version? I would like to use my own background while keeping the slider, how could I do this?

Remember, the slider only looks the way it does because of the background. This is due to limitations of bottombarbkgnd.png and bottombarbkgndlock.png.

You may use a background of your choice whilst leaving the widget and the slide pieces (the tiny green phone and the tiny white lock) by changing the wallpaper found in AndroiHD/images/LockBackground.png. Both the homescreen theme and lockscreen theme use that same image. Re-spring after overwriting the previous wallpaper.
 
Hey there. I had a suggestion for the slider on the lockscreen. As the iPhone slider is horizontal, the droid sliders are vertical. Do you think there is any chance you could make the lockscreen slider vertical like it is for the HTC Evo? I know there are tap to unlock but wasn't sure if there was a vertical slide to unlock. You think something like this is doable? Or does this go beyond theme making and into the realm of an app? Thanks.

I'm not entirely sure that's possible with WinterBoard themes - and they're about as far as I go at the moment. I've only made 2 themes and have only been theming iPhones for about a week or so. Perhaps in the not-too-distant future ;)

Did you download the full Lockscreen version of AndroiHD? Or the widget only version?

Enable SummerBoard mode and ensure that AndroiHD is at the top of the WinterBoard themes list on your phone.

There's plenty of tutorials out there. It's a little intimidating at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty sweet.

Is it possible to change the background without having to ssh into the phone by just selecting a picture from the settings in the phone?

if not can you also upload the same background but without the icons on the bottom? I really like that background but rather not have the stuff there. :eek:
 
nvm found an app in cydia called lockscreen disable. worked perfect. might want to add that on your instructions.

Well I suggest you reinstall it, something must have gone wrong in the install. I have just done a fresh re-install on my iPhone 4 and it's worked perfectly.

If you want to use your own backgrounds, just download the 'Widget Only Version' of whatever AndroiHD theme you'd like to use. This will install only the clock/weather and will allow for backgrounds to be set normally (will require re-spring upon changing). You may use your own sliders too. I've attached the coloured background without the dock bit for you :)

Hey. Not sure if this was discussed already or not but I have my settings set for non-24 hour time, i.e. 4pm. I noticed that once it hits midnight, the time reads 00:01 instead of 12:01am. Is this normal or am I missing something?

Nope, that's a bug. Just updated the downloads now with the fix, nice spot - thanks for mentioning it :)

hmm not sure what happened then, but i believe i downloaded the widget only version for the homescreen, but thanks for the updated pic! I will definitely be using that right now. Great theme that actually works, some of the cydia htc themes the weather widget wasnt always working.

I tried this twice, once yesterday afternoon and once just now. Yesterday I tried installing the widget only versions, and today I tried the full versions. I unzipped them, edited the .js files and then SSH'd them into my Themes.[XXXXX] folder in private/var/stash. Both themes are at the top of my winterboard list, and are the only themes enabled. For some reason I still can't get it to work. Do you know if I'm missing anything? This theme looks absolutely awesome so I'd love to use it. Thanks!

Did you read the fine print about making sure the "Summerboard" switch is on to make this run? Just one thing to check.
