why is it so hard for apple to release an iPad mini with ProMotion? I've been waiting years!

Maybe they think too few will pay the pro price premium for an iPad Mini Pro?

But put the Pro Max cameras on it, full ApplePay, turn on CarPlay support, etc (basically iPhone Pro Max in an iPad Mini form factor) and I'd likely upgrade too... even at iPhone PRO MAX pricing. Mini 6 IS my "iPhone" too (Voip app with buds for calls), so I'd like the best features of iPhone in a Mini Pro if it was available.

I feel no envy for iPhone repeat buy frequency and relatively expensive iPhone cell service plans... but select hardware & software features available in iPhone and not Mini are quite desirable (to me)... just not enough to make me go iPhone or add iPhone too.

People spend $50 on their silicone cases and $100 on their iPad cases, I think people would pay for the Pro mini if they made it compelling.

Right there with you. I’d be so happy with a Mini that had a pro-level camera, FaceID, and promotion.
