I literally bought it in January of 2005 for my Gamecube. It's not six months old. It's eighteen years old. Yes, it's been spiffied up, spit-shined etc. But it's still a Gamecube game... for full price, no less. That's just ridiculous. It's also an indictment on the current level of creativity within the industry.
You’re literally wrong. This is not a spiffed up, spit shined version of the 18 year old game. The only thing it has in common is the name and general storyline. If you think it is, you don’t know enough to be discussing it, in all honesty.

If you play the original and you play the remake, you are playing the same game. If it were a different game, it would called something else. It's not. It's the same characters, same story etc.

Claiming it's a different game is like claiming Mario Lost Worlds version of Super Mario Brothers 1 is a different game to the original... and no one says that... because it's not true.

No it's more like saying "I already saw this movie" when the live action version of any disney movie or remade horror film (Like Carrie, IT, etc.) came out nearly 20-30 years afterwards

A better analogy would be comparing A remake of a movie. The modern Robocop to the Old one.. There are three? versions of A Star Is Born. Would it be correct to say they are the same movie? No, of course not.

I wonder if Digital Foundry will do a comparison between the iOS version and the Xbox Series S version.
I’d expect so. It’s a pretty interesting topic. From the people who’ve played it so far they’ve said its 720p 30p which if you blow it up on a TV with usb to HDMI obvs isn’t great but on a phone screen.. looks pretty good.
